JD Power IQS Names Changan as One of China’s Top 5 Best-Selling Car Brands

MANILA: Changan Auto is still on China's top five best-selling brands according to the results of the recently released JD Power China Initial Quality Study (IQS).

The JD Power IQS has been analyzing the concerns of new vehicle owners for 23 years, looking at 218 issues in nine categories: features/controls/displays, exterior, interior, infotainment system, seats, driving experience, driving assistance, powertrain, and climate. Overall initial quality is cited for every 100 vehicles. High quality score is given to vehicles with lower number of issues.

In May 2023, Changan was also listed by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) as one of the top five best-selling brands in China, with local sales of over 510,000 units in the first quarter of the year. Changan was also recognized as one of China's top 10 best-selling new energy vehicle (NEV) brands, with total sales of 24,346 units in the same quarter.
