KG Mobility to launch new pickup truck on Q1 2026

MANILA: KG Mobility (KGM) is set to expand its pickup truck lineup offering this 2026.

In a statement, the company — then known as SsangYong — shall formally unveil its forthcoming offering (which will be the successor of the Musso Sports and Khan models  within the initial quarter of the year.

The aforementioned development was announced after saying that the new pickup truck (that carries the project name “Q300”) has entered the final stage of preparation for mass production.

According to KGM, the upcoming product represents the next evolution of the brand's authentic outdoor-oriented pickup lineup. The new model will come in both diesel and gasoline powertrains.

Last month, KGM conducted its quality commitment rites to reaffirm its determination to deliver a high-quality product.

Held at its headquarters in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, the ceremony was led by Executive Vice President Gyo-won Kwon — alongside employees from key departments including Quality, Manufacturing, and the Technical Research Center in attendance.

During the event, participants pledged to uphold the highest quality standards as KGM prepares for full-scale production, emphasizing their commitment to earning customer trust through superior manufacturing quality.

Under the slogan “Quality Speaks for Itself, No.1 K-Pickup Q300,” employees agreed to ensure a successful market launch.

Ahead of the official release, KGM plans to conduct extensive real-world road tests using pre-production vehicles. Engineers and quality specialists from research and development and related departments will participate in the evaluations to verify final manufacturing quality and overall vehicle completeness.

To recall, KGM entered the Philippine market via The Covenant Car Company, Incorporated (TCCCI) in 2023.
