Lotus unveils 20th anniversary Exige Sport 410

MANILA: Lotus spruces up the Exige Sport 410 on the model’s 20th year with new colors, higher levels of standard equipment, and a heavily retouched cabin.

Fittingly called the Exige Sport 410 20th Anniversary, it will come in three colors based on the Series 1: Chrome Orange, Laser Blue, and Calypso Red. Optional colors are Saffron Yellow, Motorsport Black, and Arctic Silver.

Also taking cues from the Series 1, each example will have a body-colored roof, side air-intake pods and rear wing, plus the black "shark fin" stone chip protector ahead of the rear wheel.

A 20th Anniversary black silhouette logo featuring a striking profile image of the Series 1 is visible on the front wings above the side repeaters, on the rear bumper, and rear wing end-plates.

Inside, that logo is also on seat backs and embossed on the car’s dashboard "build plaque." The cabin also offers a choice of different colored Alcantara trims, and each seat is decorated with paneled stitching which echoes that of the original car.

Standard on the anniversary model are Nitron three-way adjustable dampers that have variable bump and re-bound settings to enable suspension personalization depending on the driving style and environment. The front splitter, front access panel and rear tailgate are all made from carbon fiber. It will also have Bluetooth, cruise control, ultra-lightweight forged alloy wheels and an Alcantara steering wheel.

Optional items are carbon fiber sill trim, lightweight lithium-ion battery and titanium lightweight exhaust.

The Lotus Exige Sport 410 20th Anniversary will retail for £79,900 (around P4.985 million) and the first cars will be with customers in selected international markets later this year.
