    Based in Britain, Lotus is a renowned brand for its luxury sports cars. The brand is known for doing its own development, manufacturing, and marketing. Every vehicle under the Lotus tag carries its own appeal due to its light-weight but mean and muscular looks.

    Founded by Anthony Colin Bruce Chapman, the Lotus Motorsport has been in the limelight for building and developing cars for the GT tracks. Some of the famous GT racing cars by the brand include Evora GX, GTC, GT4, and GTS.

    Apart from the racing vehicles, Lotus has also been a part of the F1 Team which races in Black and Gold livery. The Lotus Motorsport wing is a bit different from car manufacturing and operates the motorsports activities of the brand.

    Another wing of the brand, Lotus engineering provides an array of consultancy services and comprehensive offerings to a number of OEM’s and Tier 1 suppliers in the automotive engineering consultancy. 

    It was in late 2014 when the British United Automobiles Inc. (BUAI) was presented with the franchise opportunity to sell Lotus Cars. Under the Autohub Group management, the brand looks to strengthen its roots and market presence over the country, paving the way to the future of sports cars.

    In the Phillippines, Lotus Cars Manila is the authorized distributor of high-performance sports cars. Currently, Lotus is offering a total of three car models in the Philippines, namely: Lotus Evora, Lotus Elise, Lotus Exige. 

    Currently owned by the Chinese manufacturer Geely enterprises, the brand is looking forward to electrification for its future. Lotus unveiled their first series production of the electric-based sports car by the name Evija in July 2019. The car is powered by a 70 kWh battery to provide power to the vehicle. The vehicle gets four motors on its four wheels, generating an output of 2,000PS.
