Meet Kia’s newest SUV

MANILA: How many times would we need to repeat the statement that SUVs and crossovers are all the rage these days. Following suit, Kia is all set to bring out its newest SUV very soon. However, a simple launch isn’t the trend, right?

The automakers like to build the hype before the actual product come out. In the quest of the same, Kia, the South Korean automobile manufacturer has released the first pair of images of the upcoming SUV.

Looking at the SUV, a lot is reminiscent of the 2019 Kia SP Signature Concept. The design language is quite alluring and will make sure that the new generation is attracted towards the SUV. The elements on the outside like sharp character lines, long hood, strong shoulder line, rear bumper with metallic muffler effect,

all contribute to the intriguing appearance. Another interesting element is the pair of slim LED headlamps which are conjoined by a thin LED strip. Moreover, the lights also feature three-dimensional light graphics and a diamond pattern at the corners. We can see that similar treatment is given to the taillamps as well.

Kia believes that the new car in its global lineup will cater to the ever-increasing global demand for SUVs and crossovers. The new Kia SUV will go on sale in Korea by the second half of 2019 before hitting the roads globally soon after.

“We have created a car which stands out everywhere, from the city to the countryside. Its robust yet sporty design will be matched by a wide range of features and technologies that are universally suited to younger buyers in markets around the world. Our new small SUV is a proposition that no other car in its class will match” said Byung Chul Juh, Head of Kia Styling at Kia Motors Corporation.

Kia has been quite active in the Philippines ever since it joined hands with Ayala. The newest addition is the Stinger GT that made its way to the country at the 2019 Manila International Auto Show.
