Oil firms to implement big-time rollbacks this week

MANILA: Fuel companies shall conduct another round of rollbacks on the prices at the pump — the third consecutive downward adjustment in May 2024.

    Oil companies shall cut down the retail price of gasoline products by P2 per liter, diesel by P0.50 per liter, and kerosene by P0.85 per liter.

    The movements in pricing will happen as early as 12:01 a.m. of May 14, 2024.

    • Based on their respective advisories, Caltex, Cleanfuel, Jetti, Petron, Seaoil, and Unioil shall drop the price of gasoline products’ retail prices by P2 per liter and diesel by P0.50 per liter.

    In addition, Caltex, Petron, and Seaoil are also set to slash P0.85 per liter on the price of kerosene.

    The movements in pricing, which other companies are expected to similarly implement, shall take effect as early as 12:01 a.m. tomorrow.

    Last week, gasoline products slid down by P0.75 per liter, diesel by P0.90 per liter, and kerosene by P1.05 per liter.
