Deepal puts up flagship dealership in PH

MANILA: Deepal Philippines, under the distributorship of Autohub Group, has opened its first-ever flagship dealership in the Philippines. 

The said outlet is located along Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City, and it boasts a floor space of approximately 1,562 square meters. 

Inside the newly opened Deepal Shaw dealership is a four-car showroom and a modern and comfortable area for customers. At the same time, the flagship facility has a total of 10 service bays that are manned by highly trained service professionals and amply equipped with state-of-the-art electric-vehicle-focused diagnostic tools.

“Today is another very special day for the Autohub Group as we celebrate 27 years of serving our customers with passion, integrity, and innovation that inspires,” Autohub Group President Willy Tee Ten said.

“We are truly electrified to officially welcome you to the very first DEEPAL showroom in the Philippines. This is more than just a showroom launch — it marks the beginning of a new era in mobility,” Tee ten added.

Apart from the dealership opening, Autohub also formally handed over 12 units to the first 12 Deepal vehicle owners in the country. The aforementioned consist of 10 S05 and two G318 range-extended electric vehicles (REEV).

Notably, the brand is set to release an additional 56 units in the coming days. This, Autohub Group says, is indicative of the growing demand for REEV models in the country. It also highlights the local market’s enthusiasm for the Deepal marque, which only formally entered the local scene merely a month ago.

Deepal S05, G318 REEV in PH

As of this publishing, the Deepal S05 crossover retails at P1.688 million for its REEV variant. For its powertrain, it uses a 1.5-liter gasoline engine combined with a single-motor setup, a 27.28-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery, and a direct-current (DC) fast-charging port. 

In total, the S05 can produce up to 215 horsepower (hp) and 320 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. It also has an all-electric range of 170 kilometers (km) and a total overall range of 1,234 km. 

The Deepal G318, meanwhile, is a full-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system that produces 424 hp and 572 Nm of torque. The model comes with a larger 35.07 kWh battery and a total range exceeding 1,000 km. 

Notably, the G318 is a capable off-roader, with a 600 millimeter (mm) wading capacity, locking differentials, multiple terrain modes, and a generous ground clearance of 210 mm.
