GWM PH joins CAMPI

MANILA: Great Wall Motor (GWM) Philippines has officially joined the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Incorporated (CAMPI), further strengthening the brand’s commitment to supporting the growth and future of the local automotive industry. 

The announcement comes at a pivotal time for the local wing of the Chinese vehicle manufacturer as GWM Philippines continues to expand its local lineup and dealer network nationwide. 

“Being part of CAMPI is a major step forward for GWM Philippines as we continue to strengthen our presence in the country,” GWM Philippines Brand Head Dax Avenido was quoted as saying. 

“This milestone reinforces our commitment to contributing to the growth of the Philippine automotive industry while continuously delivering globally competitive vehicles, advanced technology, and customer-focused mobility solutions to Filipinos,” he added.

Further, GWM Philippines noted that its CAMPI membership also reinforces its vision of helping shape the future of mobility in the country alongside other established automotive brands and industry leaders. 

GWM Philippines aims to play an active role in supporting industry initiatives, strengthening consumer confidence, and contributing to the continued advancement of the sector, as the Philippine automotive landscape continues to evolve. 

At the time of writing, GWM Philippines roster is made up of the Cannon pickup truck and the Haval H9 sport utility vehicle (SUV).

GWM Haval H7 PHEV 

Recently, GWM Philippines previewed the highly anticipated GWM Haval H7 PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle). 

The modern, adventure-ready, five-seater SUV will officially be launched in the second quarter of 2026, and highlights the company’s continued push toward intelligent and electrified mobility, combining hybrid efficiency, advanced technology, and everyday versatility for Filipino motorists. 

“The upcoming Haval H7 further highlights GWM’s aggressive push in the local SUV segment, bringing together rugged styling, intelligent technology, premium comfort, and modern safety features designed for today’s Filipino drivers and families,” the company wrote in a press release. 

Aside from the GWM Haval H7 PHEV, another upcoming model from the company is the Ora 5 EV (electric vehicle).
