Omoda 4 set for PH introduction

MANILA: Omoda Philippines has announced the arrival of the Omoda 4. 

While it is not set for immediate release, further updates about its official arrival are expected to be announced soon.

According to the local subsidiary of the Chinese carmaker, the said model has a striking interior as well as features that allow the cabin to adapt to one’s mood, usage scenario, or personal preference.

“The Omoda 4 is not merely a car; it is a sustainably evolving intelligent companion designed to transform every journey into an immersive exploration adventure,” the company noted.

Starship-inspired interior

The Omoda 4 is said to have a “starship-inspired” interior that came from the “cyber mecha” design philosophy used on the vehicle.

Inside, the automobile is said to feel “futuristic,” which evokes a feeling of being in the “command bridge of a starship.”

As such, the Omoda 4 is fitted with a start sequence with a countdown timer. The said countdown is intended to make the driver feel like he or she is “a starship commander in full control.”

The cabin atmosphere is said to extend to the exterior of the vehicle with its geometric-cut body surfaces, wheel rims, and rearview mirrors that carry forward mecha elements — offering an armor-like appearance.

Personalized themes

In addition, the Omoda 4 is touted to have personalized themes that allow owners to change the ambiance based on their mood, usage scenario, or just personal preference.

Omoda Philippines explained that the feature will transform the car “from a uniform mechanical space into an evolvable intelligent companion that can synchronize with the user’s emotions and needs.”

Glimpse into future models

The Omoda 4 — the company pointed out — is not set for an immediate launch.

While it may appear that Omoda Philippines is testing how the local market would react to a “starship-inspired” vehicle, the company clarified that it signals the brand’s commitment to bringing cutting-edge technology and revolutionary design to Filipino car buyers.
