Omoda & Jaecoo debuts 4 SHS-H

MANILA: Omoda and Jaecoo, which are both parts of Chery International, have debuted the all-new 4 SHS-H crossover at the ongoing Auto China 2026. 

The model, which was launched for the Chinese market under the Omoda brand, is seen as an expression of the manufacturer’s future-forward automotive design and technological direction. 

Size-wise, the Omoda 4 SHS-H slots into the subcompact segment. As such, it is touted as an urban-focused model. This is combined with plenty of intelligent on-board safety gear, and a new styling direction not previously seen on other Omoda nameplates.

Omoda 4 SHS-H: vehicle specs

Propelling the Omoda 4 SHS-H is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine combined with a single electric motor. At maximum, the crossover can generate up to 201 horsepower.

For now, the brand has yet to disclose its torque figures, but it is said to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 7.9 seconds. The nameplate also comes with a front-wheel-drive layout. 

Appearance-wise, the Omoda 4 SHS-H uses the brand’s “Cyber Mecha” design language, which provides the ride with a pointed nose, angular LED lighting fixtures, and a sculpted side section adorned with plenty of sharp-cut character lines. 

Again, no exterior features for the new model were listed, but Omoda says that it reflects its progressive “art in motion” philosophy. 

The brand also remained tight-lipped regarding its interior amenities, but it is said to have struck a balance between impactful styling cues and advanced technologies, including integrated displays and driver-assist systems (ADAS). 

Some technological features of the Omoda 4 SHS-H, as shared by the brand, include a Snapdragon processor, a 10.25-inch gauge cluster, and a “spaceship” center console. 

Based on the pictures alone, the Omoda 4 SHS-H appears smaller compared to any of the current products in Omoda and Jaecoo’s Philippine lineup. With this said, Omoda and Jaecoo’s local arm does need a subcompact model.
