Omoda & Jaecoo PH previews upcoming J5

MANILA: Omoda & Jaecoo Motor Philippines Incorporated (OJMPI) has previewed the upcoming Jaecoo J5 at Ayala Malls Manila Bay. The aforementioned coincided with the company’s recent Dealer Conference in Okada Manila. 

The said model, according to OJMPI, is well-suited for the modern car buyer who is eco-conscious but needs a ride that can keep up with an adventurous lifestyle. 

Propelling the upcoming Jaecoo J5 crossover is a 1.5-liter turbocharged hybrid engine that can produce up to 221 horsepower and 295 Newton-meters of torque. It also has an extended range of 950 kilometers from a single full tank. 

Additionally, the J5 is certified as pet-friendly by TÜV SÜD, a global provider of safety testing, inspection, and certification. Per OJMPI, this means the J5 is safe and comfortable for the entire family, including four-legged members. 

No other features or specifications of the Jaecoo J5 were shared by the company, but global market versions are noted to come with the following notable creature comforts: 

• Power tailgate
• Panoramic sunroof with power sunshade
• Leather upholstery
• Ventilated and power-adjust front row
• 13.2-inch infotainment display
• Eight-inch digital gauge cluster
• 64-color ambient lighting system
• Advanced driver-assist systems

Omoda & Jaecoo PH Dealer Conference awards

Apart from showcasing the upcoming Jaecoo J5, OJMPI also highlighted the performance of its dealer network. Specifically, the company brought together 51 delegates from 19 dealer partners across the country - with some having garnered the honor of being hailed as the “Hero Dealer of the Year.”

These are the recipients of the Hero Dealer of the Year Award, as shared by OJMPI:

• Omoda & Jaecoo Pasig (First place)
• Omoda & Jaecoo Cebu (Second place)
• Omoda & Jaecoo Alabang (Third place)

Special awards were likewise given to Omoda & Jaecoo Iloilo for being the “Best in Dealer Operations” and Omoda & Jaecoo Bulacan as “Rookie Dealer of the Year.” 

To note, OJMPI’s Dealer Conference comes after nine months of strong market performance. Per the company, it has already sold around 600 units since its formal introduction back in 2025.

OJMPI attributes the aforementioned to its growing dealer network, with 20 already signed and 10 already in operation. 

“Our first year has been a journey of building trust and delivering innovation,” OJMPI Marketing Manager Fritz Gerald De Ocampo said.
