Polestar continues move into Asia Pacific region

MANILA: With the inclusion of five new markets in the Asia Pacific region, Polestar further extends its global presence this year. The new markets are New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and South Korea.

These markets will join three new and previously confirmed European markets as well, and this is expected to take the global presence of Polestar to 18 markets by the end of 2021.

CEO of Polestar Thomas Ingeniath (in photo below) said, “The brand is gathering real momentum, and it is great to be expanding with Polestar 2 beyond our initial global markets in China, North America, and Europe.”

Preparations in these countries are at various phases as the brand organizes the market introductions and the opening of digital sales.

Relevant information, which will also include product pricing and model specification. and dates for every market will be released locally.

Local independent Polestar sales units are being produced and new managing directors have been assigned in Australia and South Korea.

In Australia, Samantha Johnson will head Polestar, and in South Korea, Jongsung Ham will lead the local organization. The other markets will potentially run on an importer basis, with local partners to be announced in due time.

The new head of Polestar China and Asia Pacific regions Nathan Forshaw remarked, “Specific roll-out timing is at an advanced planning stage and the recruitment of key individuals has begun. While we are growing rapidly, we are ensuring both our organization and processes ensure a consistent and truly Polestar experience for our customers, wherever they are based.”

The accurate model pricing details and specifications will be revealed closer to its market debut.
