Porsche Cayenne S Coupe is a new mid-spec model
MANILA: Porsche was highly criticised for diving into the SUV and crossover waters. However, the success of its models Cayenne and Macan has proven the critics wrong. But that’s not all, as the SUVs has also helped the German automaker in further improving its best sellers like 911.
With the SUV and crossover market expanding like anything along, and more & more manufacturers throwing their boats into the same waters, it had become highly essential for Porsche to keep up with the pace at which the automobile industry is evolving.
In the quest of expanding its lineup to cater to the distinct needs of different customers, Porsche has brought out a mid-spec variant, the Cayenne S Coupe, which will slot right between the regular variant and the top-of-the-line Turbo trim. The Porsche Cayenne S Coupe gets its power from a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 that makes 433 PS of maximum power and a peak torque of 549 Nm. The power here is significantly more than the 335 PS on the base model. The Turbo trim, on the other hand, has in its armoury good 540 PS of maximum power.
On the inside, customers can choose either of a two-seat layout or a bench seat. There is also the panoramic fixed glass roof that makes the cabin brighter and livelier. Moreover, the eight-way sport seats make sure that you’re always comfortable in your desired posture. The Sport Chrono Package and the 20-inch alloy wheels make the Porsche Cayenne S Coupe’s presence felt.
If the beauty of this Cayenne S Coupe isn’t enough and you crave for more, then there’s also the Lightweight Sport Package. Elements like matte black air intakes and air blades, parts for the roof and rear diffuser made up of carbon fibre, sport design body kit, heated steering wheel clothed with Alcantara,
carbon fibre cabin trim, Alcantara headliner, and houndstooth centre sections for the seats are all part of the package. While Porsche has already given the Cayenne S Coupe a price tag of $ 89,850 (Php 4,716,675), the sales will start from Q4 (fourth quarter) of 2019.
