Subaru unveils the New 2016 Forester ahead of Tokyo Motor Show

MANILA: Subaru has officially revealed its refreshed bold looking 2016 Forester ahead of the Tokyo Motor show. The automaker claims that the new upgraded Forester will have bold exterior and extreme driving fun providing amazing comfort level.

The 2016 Forester gets a re-profiled front fascia which gives it a bolder appearance. The headlights, front grille and the bumpers have been redesigned to add more class and sturdiness. The rear side also comes with a new combination of unique and aggressive taillights. The side profile gets more enhanced design lining with new alloy wheels. The 2.0i-L trim gets the 17-inch alloy wheel whereas the top trim gets the 18-inch alloy wheels.

The cabin area also appears a bit improved and features updated instrument console attached with a new LCD multi-information display, and new navigation system. The dashboards gets a silver and black combination theme. However, Subaru claims that the 2.0L turbocharged flat-four is capable to produce a maximum power of 150 PS and a peak torque of 198 Nm whereas the 2.0XT trim propels upto 240 PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque. Subaru claims that the engine has been optimized for achieving better mileage and acceleration.

The handling system has been improved with the new rear link system and upgraded shock absorbers. It comes with a more rigid front cross member and a quick steering ratio i.e. 15.5:1 to 14:1.
