Suzuki PH confirms Fronx arrival to local market

MANILA: It seems that the discontinuation of the Celerio locally is about making room for another room for another model as Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) will soon unveil the Fronx nameplate in the local market.

The aforementioned model will be previewed at the upcoming Matsuri 2025 event set next week.

SPH has yet to share the specifications about the upcoming model but here are some details about the vehicle (which is set to compete with the Toyota Raize and Kia Sonet) as seen abroad.

Overseas, the Suzuki Fronx has the following measurements:

• Seven- to nine-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, USB Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity.

• Rear air-conditioning vents

In Indonesia, the Suzuki Fronx is powered by a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder gasoline engine. For other variants offered in the aforementioned neighboring country, the vehicle is outfitted with an integrated starter generator and a lithium-ion battery — giving it a mild-hybrid configuration.

Both powertrain configurations are mated to either a five-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.
