Suzuki PH launches ‘Flood Support Program’ to help typhoon-affected customers

MANILA: Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) is offering assistance to those who were severely affected by the recent severe weather conditions.

For its Flood Support Program, the company offers 30-percent discounts on select control modules that are usually affected by flood damage. These are the following:

• Engine Control Module
• Anti-brake lock system control module
• Body Control module
• Supplemental Restraint System Control Unit

In a statement, the Japanese automaker’s distributor in the country said that the initiative — which also covers non-insured Suzuki vehicles — is aimed at giving affected clients a practical option for safe restoration and continued mobility.

Relatedly, the company — through its Marine Department — also extended assistance to highly-impacted areas by deploying an inflatable boat with a six-horsepower (hp) outboard motor in Biñan and a poly boat fitted with a 15-hp motor was deployed in Santa Rosa.

In partnership with local responders, Suzuki’s marine equipment were also used to deliver relief packages to families stranded in their homes particularly in communities like Sikatville, where floodwaters rose to chest-deep levels.

SPH said that community leaders and rescue volunteers expressed their gratitude for the reliable equipment that significantly expanded their reach during this critical time.

“In times of natural calamities, Suzuki Philippines stands by its belief that mobility is more than just movement, it is a means to care, to connect, and to uplift. Whether by land or by water, the company remains committed to delivering support and service where it matters most, and when it is needed most,” SPH noted in a statement.
