The Toyota Corolla crosses over to an SUV form

MANILA: Toyota Motor Corporation has just debuted the Corolla Cross compact SUV.

The virtual debut of the model was held yesterday in Thailand on the official website of Toyota here. The Corolla Cross will also be rolled out in numerous markets, and sales have already begun as well.

Since its introduction in Japan in 1966, the Corolla series has already made a cumulative sales total of more than 48 million units. The model has been sold in over 150 countries and regions worldwide, making it the bestselling vehicle of the auto brand. Since then, the Corolla has been constantly modified according to the needs of the areas where it was sold.

Through the addition of a new model to the Corolla series to fulfill the increasing demand for SUVs, the improved Corolla lineup allows customers to choose the model that is ideal for their varied lifestyles.

With the “Corolla Meets SUV” as the catchphrase for the enhancement of the Corolla Cross, the model was configured as a new form of SUV. It unifies utility and the superior robustness of its exterior in a way that goes beyond the expectations of customers.

The TNGA platform (GA-C) has allowed the Corolla Cross to attain excellent driving performance, supreme quietness, and a comfortable ride. Furthermore, its new torsion-beam suspension leads to a cushioned and more stable ride.
