What company did Ferrari tap to help design the Luce?
Ferrari got LoveFrom to help with designing its first EV.How many display screens does the atomobile have?
It has three screens.Per the storied Italian carmaker, Luce is more than just a name but a vision. One that defines not just technology, but a philosophy where electrification is a means, not an end.
“This new naming strategy reflects how the Ferrari Luce marks a significant addition to the Prancing Horse’s line-up, embodying the seamless expression of tradition and innovation. With its cutting-edge technology, unique design, and best-in-class driving thrills, it unites Ferrari’s racing heritage, the timeless spirit of its sports cars, and the evolving reality of contemporary lifestyles,” the Maranello-headquartered manufacturer wrote.

Notable features
The Ferrari Luce indeed offers a smorgasbord of noteworthy features, starting with the tangible ones.
For example, the vehicle’s steering wheel was designed to pay homage to the brand’s right heritage while embracing modern innovation. As such, it boasts a simple three-spoke build — typical of those found on cars from the 1950s to the 1960s.
It boasts recycled aluminum trims as well as controls organized in two analog modules, which echo the layout of Formula One race cars.
Next is the key and dock, with the former made out of Corning Gorilla Glass and featuring a specially developed “E Ink” display that only uses power during color changes, due to its “bi-stable” properties.
As for the latter, it is situated on the central console and initiates a carefully choreographed sequence when triggered. Per the company, the control panel and “binnacle” (instrument panel) simultaneously light up, heightening anticipation and signaling the transition from stillness to motion.
Moving on to the displays, the Ferrari Luce sports three monitors: the driver binnacle, control panel, and rear control panel.
The binnacle is designed to move along with the steering wheel and features two overlapping OLED displays. Made in collaboration with Samsung Display engineers, it boasts graphics inspired by the clarity and elegance of historic instrument dials, particularly “Veglia” and “Jaeger” instruments from the aforementioned decade.
The control panels, on the other hand, are ergonomic as they are intuitive. For example, the front screen is mounted on a ball-and-socket joint, allowing it to be oriented towards either the driver or the passenger.
Also notable is the multigraph with four modes, namely clock, chronograph, compass, and launch control.
Lastly, the Ferrari Luce’s shifter is also made with Corning Gorilla Glass. Lasers were said to have been used to make tiny holes in the glass, half the width of a human hair, to deposit the ink for the graphics with the perfect level of uniformity.
“Ultimately, the design of the Ferrari Luce’s interior is a synthesis of meticulous craftsmanship, respect for tradition, and thoughtful innovation. It offers a new choice for Ferrari enthusiasts — one that honors the past while embracing the future, and exemplifies the brand’s enduring commitment to quality, performance, and cultural significance,” Ferrari said.
The Ferrari Luce was made with LoveFrom, “a creative collective of architects, artists, engineers, filmmakers, graphic designers, industrial designers, interaction designers, motion designers, musicians, sound designers, type designers and writers” founded by former Apple designer Jony Ive, which explains the fluidity of the components usually found on Apple products.
