Mitsubishi PH stages 24th Skills Olympics

MANILA: Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has staged the 24th Mitsubishi Skills Olympics. 

Per the local subsidiary of the Japanese carmaker, the annual skills competition reaffirms MMPC’s commitment to continuously elevating the skills and professionalism of its nationwide dealership network and providing an exceptional overall customer experience to Filipinos. 

This year’s theme is “Mitsubishi Forward: Beyond the Sale, Beyond the Service.” 

“We have learned that success in the automotive industry is no longer just about selling vehicles, it is about creating positive and memorable experiences for the customers all throughout their entire ownership journey. Through initiatives like this, we are aiming for our dealer personnel to master the skills required not just to satisfy customers, but to transform satisfied customers into lifelong brand advocates,” MMPC Executive Vice President for aftersales Toko Imai was quoted as saying.

Mitsubishi Skills Olympics winners 

The 24th edition of the Mitsubishi Skills Olympics highlighted the importance of providing outstanding customer support not only during the purchase process but throughout the entire ownership journey. 

On that note, participants were keen on showcasing their knowledge, technical expertise, and customer-handling skills across various categories through a series of theoretical and practical examinations. 

Each dealership demonstrated hard work and dedication during the competition, but Union Motor Corporation bested its rivals — claiming the title of overall champion.

Sales executive

Winners of the competition received cash prizes and an overseas trip with all expenses paid by MMPC. 

The competition — MMPC pointed out — also serves as a training ground for the cream of the crop of each dealer, until representatives are needed to join the next Global Service Skills Contest in the years to come.
