Toyota to unveil 2 BEV concepts at Japan Mobility Show 2023

MANILA: Toyota Motor Corporation has announced the first two models that will be featured in its booth at the Japan Mobility Show 2023.

Two battery electric vehicle (BEV) concepts will be exhibited at the Toyota booth ― the FT-3e and the FT-Se.

The FT-3e is described by Toyota as a next-generation BEV concept that will provide new driving experiences and personalized services through innovative technologies. This concept vehicle has the ability to transfer power and data to its surroundings.

In terms of design, the FT-3e features a futuristic yet minimalist aesthetics. Digital displays running from the lower side body to upper door show information on battery charge and cabin temperature and air quality when the driver approaches the car.

On the other hand, the FT-Se is a high-performance sports BEV developed with Toyota Gazoo Racing. This concept vehicle will enable software updates, allowing the car to upgrade its tech features over the years.

The FT-Se has a sleek look with wide and low dimensions. Inside, it features a next-generation cockpit with intuitive controls for an immersive driving experience and a low instrument panel for improved visibility.

"The two concept models ― the SUV-type FT-3e and the sporty FT-Se ― will present a future transformed by electrification and intelligence, along with the new experience value offered by cars. Toyota believes that future mobility will go beyond providing physical transportation tools to becoming a lifestyle partner closely aligned with each customer's individual values," Toyota Motor Corporation stated in a press release.

Toyota will unveil these two BEV concept models at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 that will happen on October 26 to November 5.
