Unioil officially froms strategic partnership with Aramco

MANILA: Unioil Petroleum Philippines Incorporated has officially entered a strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia-based energy and chemicals company Aramco. The aforementioned follows the partnership’s initial announcement back in February 2025. 

Under the partnership, Aramco now holds a 25 percent equity stake in Unioil. The aforementioned, the Philippine company says, will allow for collaborative efforts that will accelerate its presence in the local market. At the same time, the said partnership will also allow Unioil to grow in a manner consistent with the principles of sustainability. 

“We are thrilled to officially welcome Aramco as our strategic partner. This market a new chapter in Unioil’s journey - one defined by innovation, excellence, and a deepened commitment to serving our customers and communities across the Philippines,” Unioil Chief Executive Officer Janice Co Roxas-Chua said.

“With Aramco’s partnership, we are confident in our ability to scale our operations, drive, innovation, and strengthen our leadership in the wholesale and retail fuels market,” Roxas-Chua added. 

Thanks to the said partnership, Unioil will now have access to Aramco’s supply and logistics network, which is crucial in the Philippine market where Unioil says demand is growing. Additionally, the partnership represents a “vote of confidence” in Unioil’s capabilities as a “forward-thinking” company and confirms its solid foundations as a business.  

“This strategic investment by Aramco is fully aligned with our ambition to be the fuel retailer of choice,” Unioil President Kenneth Pundanera said. 

“This partnership empowers us to elevate our service standards, expand our reach, and deliver top-tier fuel solutions to Filipino motorists. It also affirms the strength of our business and the potential of the Philippine market to attract world-class partners,” Pundanera added.
