Updated Global Kia Picanto Receives 'Opposites United' Design, New Tech

MANILA: The 2023 Kia Picanto has been improved with the brand's "Opposites United" design and cutting-edge technologies in other markets, (while being removed from the automaker's local range). As a result, Kia customers can enjoy a stylish, purposeful ride and the freedom that comes with mobility.

The GT Line and Baseline models of the new Picanto are both available. With a beautiful design and cutting-edge technology, the sporty GT Line symbolizes Kia's brand objectives and is suitable for both younger, first-car buyers and working professionals.

The upgraded Picanto's revised front bumper, distinctive "tiger nose," fender, and bonnet, together with the new light signature, provide the vehicle a striking appearance. Daytime Running Lights and optional LED headlights draw attention to modernism and technology. The 2023 Kia Picanto's revamped rear lights and rear bumper are connected vertically by a straightforward and stable rear design.

Standard wheels for the Picanto are 14 inches. A confident front appearance that emphasizes sporting components enhances the GT Line's presence. To enhance the appearance of high performance, the tiger nose grille has been extended. The GT Line also has stylish GT Line rear diffusers and new, dedicated 16-inch diamond-cut wheels.

Customers have a choice between a 1.0-liter or a 1.2-liter petrol engine when purchasing the new Picanto. Both choices maximize effectiveness while reducing CO2 emissions.

A five-speed manual transmission or Kia's Automated Manual Transmission (AMT), which is based on a five-speed manual transmission with clutch and gear change actuators to automate their respective operations, is used to drive the front wheels when either engine is running. The AMT gives the best of both worlds since it blends the ease of a hassle-free automatic transmission with the fuel efficiency of a traditional manual transmission, greatly improving the comfort of urban traffic.

An 8.0-inch 'floating' touchscreen navigation system and a digital display in the driver's instrument panel are standard on the 2023 Kia Picanto. With Bluetooth multi-connection, the 8.0-inch touchscreen navigation system in the car allows customers to pair up to two mobile devices simultaneously, one for hands-free phone and media use and the other just for media use. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included with the system by default. Depending on the region and nation, the 8.0-inch touchscreen navigation system and digital display features may not be available.

The 2023 Picanto features Kia’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and a range of active safety systems to enhance occupant safety, making it one of the safest cars in its class. Depending on specification, the Picanto’s new ADAS features include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 1.5 (FCA) with vehicle, cyclist, and pedestrian detection.

Additionally, the Picanto is available with Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Driver Attention Warning and Leading Vehicle Departure Warning (DAW+), Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA) and Lane Following Assist (LFA).
