VinFast, Motech ink partnership to assure aftersales support in PH

MANILA: VinFast and Motech Automotive Service Centers have forged a partnership, which will authorize the latter to service the marque’s units in the Philippines.

The company has 63 workshops nationwide.Under the signed memorandum of understanding, the after-warranty car service shop chain may perform repairs, warranties, and maintenance solutions on the electric vehicles retailed by the Hai Phong-headquartered firm’s local arm.
To ensure that its manpower shall be fully equipped to provide quality service, VinFast will give personnel training and technical advice as well as guarantee availability of genuine parts to its customers.
Per VinFast Philippines, the agreement is eyed to meet the increasing demand for electric vehicles among Filipino consumers, while affirming the automotive marque’s long-term commitment and determination to promote green transformation across the region.
The aforementioned pact will take advantage of Motech’s 63 service workshops that will act as authorized VinFast service centers.
Further, VinFast eyeing to put up more than 100 service workshops in the country. Its recent MOU with Motech, the company noted, is part of its plan to grow its network here.
Aside from that, both parties will actively explore business cooperation opportunities, information sharing, and joint marketing activities related to electric vehicle after-sales services in Southeast Asia.

For his part, VinFast Asia CEO Pham Sanh Chau said that Motech's “strong reputation, experience, and extensive service network” will help provide Filipino customers with peace of mind and satisfaction.
“We are confident this partnership will simplify EV ownership and usage, empowering customers to join the global movement towards green transportation,” the executive noted.
