Volkswagen T-Cross teaser revealed

MANILA: Volkswagen was working on its entry-level crossover for quite a long time and now the German automaker has released the first set of teaser sketches on the internet. The upcoming Volkswagen T-Cross will be locking its horns against the likes of Ford EcoSport, Nissan Juke, and Hyundai Kona. As all the mentioned names have already managed to grab a significant market share, VW has planned to offer a high-tech cabin, backed by a subtle exterior wrapped in a compact package.

The T-Cross is expected to make its global debut in the coming months and according to the recent sketches revealed, the B-segment crossover adheres to the current design language of the manufacturer. At the front, a wide grille is accompanied by a lucrative set of headlights. Overall the upcoming crossover is inspired by the Volkswagen Tiguan and even the T-Roc to a great extent.

The rear features full-width taillights connected through a body-colored strip. The roof-mounted spoiler and reflectors on the lower bumper further add to the sportiness quotient. To complement the overall design of the crossover are present 5-spoke alloy wheels, which are expected to be offered in different design options.

Looking at the cabin sketch, it is evident that the German automaker has focused on offering a sleek yet spacious cabin. It also hints towards the company’s new futuristic design philosophy which we have already seen in the updated Polo. A fully-digital instrument cluster on the driver’s side and a touchscreen infotainment system reflects the uncluttered way of designing the centre console in an effective manner. The engine options will include a number of turbocharged gasoline engine coupled to either a manual or a dual-clutch automatic transmission.
