Yamaha Vega Force i: Features that set it apart

The Yamaha Vega Force i may seem to be one of the many mopeds that you will find being ridden on the road. But if you look carefully, it has a distinctive appeal which is a lot different than most of the models in this range.

Plus, there are some other mechanisms that make the Yamaha Vega Force i stand out among most other underbone two-wheelers in the countries. These features are sure to make you feel amazing the moment you take the front seat and grab the handlebars.

Having said all these, let’s dive in and find about some of the outstanding features that would surely take your notice. These are meant to set the underbone apart from its competitors, albeit the price factor is kept in check.

Yamaha Vega Force i - Features

Graphics

Yamaha Vega Force i may be an underbone by its type and chassis, but if you look closer, you will find that it can be equally attractive like most other scooters and motorcycles. The first thing you may take notice of is the graphics. The dual tone colour and the sporty graphics surely add a new dimension to the underbone, making it much more attractive than most of the scooters and mopeds.

Suspension

Telescopic front forks are very much common in almost all the underbones and scooters these days. However, the rear suspension of the Yamaha Vega Force i is something to like about. There is a Swingarm-type suspension for the rear wheel, along with the twin shock absorber springs on the outside. Hence, the suspension is way better than most of the underbones and offer a very comfortable and stress-free riding experience even on bad road conditions.

Wheels

The Yamaha Vega Force i rides on 17-inch wheels, which are bigger than any conventional scooter. The 70-section front and 90-section rear tyre offer a smooth ride. Plus, considering the kind of power the engine can make, the tyres are quite grippy and offer a lot of stability on the road.

Yamaha Vega Force i - Dimensions

Design

Believe it or not, the Yamaha Vega Force i has a distinct styling in the underbone segment and end up being extremely attractive. The low ground clearance and seat height bring out the sporty side of the underbone. Moreover, the front fenders and wheel cover are a little on the higher side compared to most other models.

Lighting

The Yamaha Vega Force i has split headlamps and both of the units have high illumination capability. Each of the two headlamps has 25W lights that are very bright while riding at nights. The tail lights also have a very unique attractive design and have high visibility to the car approaching from behind.

Power

The Vega Force from Yamaha is powered by a 114-cc single-cylinder engine with two valves. The motor can churn out a total power of 10.1 PS at 7,750 RPM along with a peak torque of 9.9 Nm at 6,500 RPM.

The underbone does have a high revving engine and hence the throttle response is just amazing. Being a Yamaha, it feels a lot more nimble and powerful on the roads.

Yamaha Vega Force i - Engine

Handling

As said earlier, the Yamaha Vega has a low seat height and a small wheelbase of just 1,240 mm. Together, these dimensions make for a very good handling performance as the two-wheeler feels light on roads where the pedestrians are a little too many.

Also, the moped is extremely light in terms of the kerb weight. It has a total weight of 101 kgs, which can be considered to be light and manageable, even for a lady rider.

Fuel Injection

The Yamaha two-wheeler has a fuel injected system attached to the engine. This feature makes it the first underbone two-wheeler across the Philippines to be having the fuel injection mechanism. It offers an increased efficiency and power at the disposal of the rider.

Summing up

Underbone mopeds are not very uncommon in the Philippines. You will be able to spot many of them while on your way to work. However, not all of the underbones are as good as the Yamaha Vega Force i. The features and some parts of the mechanism under the hood make it stand out among most of its competitors.
