Vehicle specifications
The engine of the newly launched Indian market Yamaha YZF-R2 is a new 204-cubic-centimeter (cc), liquid-cooled, four-stroke, dual overhead-cam (DOHC) engine with fuel injection, a six-speed manual transmission, and semi-dry-sump lubrication.
At maximum, the new model can produce up to 26 horsepower and 19.1 Newton-meters of torque.
It was pointed out by Yamaha that its lubrication system was picked due to its ability to provide reduced engine resistance losses and a higher output. AT the same time, the model’s main structure is made out of a lightweight diamond frame consisting of steel tubes. The result is a lightweight motorcycle that tips the scales at just 149 kilograms.
Paired with the engine are the YCC-T electronically controlled throttle, the Yamaha Ride Control, and the company’s third-generation quickshifter.
