2020 Honda Africa Twin specs leaked ahead of its debut

MANILA: The specifications of 2020 Honda Africa Twin have been leaked ahead of its official debut. The bike enthusiasts were aware of the fact that it will possibly come equipped with a larger-displacement engine. The leaked specs have confirmed that the parallel-twin engine’s displacement jumps from 998cc to 1,084cc.

According to the leaked specifications, the maximum power from the parallel-twin mill of 2020 Honda Africa Twin will be increased from 95 PS to 102 PS, with a rev range of 7,500 rpm. The bike will return a bit more torque than the ongoing version. Honda is likely to make these efforts to comply with Euro 5 standards.

On the other hand, the weight and height of the bike are likely to be increased to 238 kg and 1560 mm, respectively. It means that the bike has gained a weight of 6 kg and an increased height of 85mm. Depending on the suspension, the bike’s length might vary from 2,330 mm to 2,340 mm, and the bike will be 30 mm wider at 960 mm. All the four versions of 2020 Honda Africa Twin are expected to be built on a 1,575 mm of wheelbase. The four versions are, base model, Adventure Sports, DCT and Adventure Sports DCT. All the variants are likely to have 24.2 L fuel tank as standard.

However, we only get the specifications of the 2020 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin and the official image of the upcoming two-wheeler is yet to be revealed. The brand has not spoken much of the design.

However, a new adventure bike’s teaser video has been published by the brand itself. The featured bike on the video is expected to be the new CRF1100L Africa Twin.
