Cardo Packtalk Edgephones enable seamless communication with motorcycle riders

MANILA: Cardo Systems, a provider of wireless communication systems for powersports riders, unveiled a new headset accessory for its cutting-edge Packtalk Edge wireless communicator.

The new Packtalk Edgephones, made for off-the-bike use, can be connected easily to the Packtalk Edge to give the same industry-leading mesh communication network without the need of a helmet.

Packtalk Edgephones may be used by parents and motorcycle coaches for real-time communication with riders in motion. They are durable enough to survive outdoor settings, comfortable to wear, and easy to use.

Users may easily switch from helmet to Edgephones through the Air Mount connectivity port that seamlessly connects the Packtalk Edge and the Edgephone. Once transferred, the Packtalk Edgephones function similarly to a Packtalk Edge helmet system, enabling users to simply and effectively interact with up to 15 people via an intercom network with premium JBL audio. The Packtalk Edgephones can be connected with other Cardo devices that support Bluetooth.

The Packtalk Edgephones also come with passive noise reduction and a noise-filtering detachable microphone. It can also be conveniently folded up for convenient carrying and safe storage. It is IP-54 rated, therefore, it is protected against dust and water splashes.

The Packtalk Edgephones is priced at $149.95 (approximately P8,500).
