Chetak’s initial offering in PH is the C3505

MANILA: Chetak is arriving in the Philippines, and its initial offering will be the C3505 electric motorcycle. 

Per the company’s literature, the name of the electric motorcycle acts like a “smart code.” As such, the nameplate C3505 is derived from its battery specification — which is rated at 3.5 kilowatt-hours. 

Thanks to the battery pack, the Chetak C3505 can deliver a maximum power output of approximately 4 horsepower (3 kilowatt) and achieve a top speed of 63 kilometers per hour. The electric motor is connected to a single-speed two-stage transmission. 

Range-wise, which is arguably one of the most important pieces of information for would-be owners, is about 108 kilometers. 

Charging the battery fully will take up to five hours, while reaching a ripe 80 percent will require plugging it in for around three hours. 

It relies on rudimentary drum brakes, while its suspension system is comprised of a single-sided leading link setup at the front and an offset monoschock at the rear.

The Chetak C3505 weighs about 124 kilograms and uses a tubular steel underbone frame. 

Other notable features include a 1,355 mm underseat storage, an open glove box, a saddle finished in black hue, cast aluminum side mirrors, a black floor mat, and a black textured plastic pillion footrest.
