Efficient engine operation ‘more important than ever’, BSB Junrose claims

MANILA: The leadership of BSB Junrose expressed firm belief that the ongoing problem with fuel has made motorists keener on efficient vehicle operation.

BSB Junrose President Ian Bangayan shared such an observation during a meeting at the 10th Makina Moto Expo last week.

The aftermarket company’s chief shared that as fuel prices have become more volatile, riders are looking into ways of reducing efficiency gap.

He shared that not all fuel that enters an engine is fully converted into usable power as daily riding conditions like traffic, heat, and short-distance travel contribute to increased internal friction, carbon buildup, and reduced overall efficiency.

Such factors, over time, result in higher fuel consumption, reduced mileage, lower engine performance, increased maintenance requirements, and long-term repair costs.

However, the use of proper products (motor oils, additives, and engine-protecting technologies) can help increase operational efficiency by cutting down internal friction. In turn, this results in smoother, quieter engines and a more efficient operation — using less fuel over time.

“As fuel prices continue to rise, these technologies help riders maximize every liter and reduce unnecessary fuel loss,” Bangayan shared.

“When we look at the bigger picture, it is no longer just about individual components. It is about how efficiency and safety work together to support better, more reliable riding. We may not control fuel prices, but we can control how efficiently we use fuel,” he added.

He shared that Liqui Moly has Molybdenum disulfide that reduces metal-to-metal contact, reducing friction and wear inside the engine as well as Molygen, which keeps the engine clean by reducing carbon deposits and supporting smoother operation over extended use.
