Honda PH to bring in Giorno nameplate?

MANILA: Honda Philippines Incorporated (HPI) teased a new model, which Zigwheels Philippines believes could be the Giorno.

To be launched tomorrow (according to the invitation received by the author), the soon-to-be-unveiled motorcycle is said to have been designed for “chic and fashionable commuters” and promises “to set new trends in style, performance, and innovation.”

Marketed with a tagline “class that lasts,” the Honda Giorno’s timeless style best fits the said catchphrase.

Further reinforcing the writer’s hunch, the Honda Giorno+ is currently available in Thailand.

There, it is powered by a 125-cubic centimeter engine (with eSP+ technology) mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). It also comes equipped with either an anti-lock braking system (ABS) or a combined braking system (CBS), allowing customers to choose which technology best suits their motoring needs.

In terms of style, the body boasts a rounded headlamp with a housing that slightly protrudes from the front fairing. Its clean fascia gets two lights on each of the corners of the fenders.

HPI is yet to confirm if this is true, but fans do not have to wait long as the new model will be launched this weekend based on the invitation received by Zigwheels Philippines.

Should our guess be correct, the Honda Giorno will be competing with the likes of the Yamaha Mio Fazzio — among others.
