Honda PH to formally introduce all-new PCX160 this month

MANILA: Honda Philippines Incorporated (HPI) is set to officially launch the all-new PCX160 this month.

Based on the invitation sent to Zigwheels Philippines, the aforementioned scooter will be formally unveiled on May 19.

Prior to the official launch, the country’s leading motorcycle distributor already shared details about the soon-to-be-revealed two-wheeler.

Here are some of the notable bits of information about the all-new Honda PCX160 as posted on its company website.

The all-new Honda PCX160 has the following measurements:

Giving it a distinct look compared to its predecessor are its new head- and taillight design as well as the new handlebar cover.

Its host of creature comforts include:

• Five-inch digital meter panel with RoadSync (Honda’s smartphone app that lets riders control mobile device functions using the handlebar switch and voice commands).
• USB Type-C charger
• Passing light switch
• New rear suspension with sub-tank (for top variant)

It sits on cast wheels (14-inch for the front and 13-inch for the rear) wrapped in tubeless tires.

Powertrain

Powering the all-new Honda PCX160 is a four-stroke, four-valve, single overhead cam, liquid-cooled, gasoline-fed engine with eSP+ (Enhanced Smart Power plus) system mated to an automatic transmission.

The said powertrain can deliver as much as:

Fuel consumption (in kilometers per liter)	46 (based on World Motorcycle Test Cycle standards)

Guaranteeing the controllability and stability are the suspension system made up of telescopic (front) and twin shocks (back) as well as hydraulic disc brakes.  

Trims, colors, pricing

The all-new Honda PCX160 will be offered in two options: Standard and RoadSync.

Priced at P133,400, the model’s Standard version is available in Vortex Red Metallic, Pearl Fadeless White, and Matte Bullet Silver.

Meanwhile, the RoadSync option can be had in Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic and Pearl Fadeless White with a suggested retail price of P154,900.
