KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What is the electric cruising range of the Honda Activa e:?

The Honda Activa e: has an electric cruising range of 102 kilometers.
  • How much horsepower can the Honda QC1 produce?

The Honda QC1 can produce up to 3 horsepower.
  • According to the Japanese brand, the Activa e: is equipped to handle battery swaps on the go. The QC1, meanwhile, features fixed batteries.

    Honda Activa e:

The Activa e: is based on the internal combustion-powered Activa, which is also known as the now-discontinued Honda Genio in the Philippine market.

For propulsion, the new all-electric scooter utilizes a wheel-side motor, which can output up to 8 horsepower (hp). It also has a cruising range of 102 kilometers on a single charge, as well as standard, sport, and economy driving modes.

Additionally, the electric motorcycle can make parking easier via its reverse mode. Plus, it can provide hands-free calling and navigation by connecting a smartphone via Bluetooth.

The biggest feature of the Activa e:, however, is its swappable battery pack called the Honda Mobile Power Pack e:. Per the brand’s Indian arm, the aforementioned will be provided by a battery-sharing service dubbed the Honda Mobile Power Pack e:.

Simply put, users won’t have to wait for recharging. Instead, owners of the Activa e: can simply replace its empty battery with a full one from strategically located facilities. The aforementioned facilities are called the Honda e:Swap, and they will be opened initially in Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru.

    Honda QC1

The QC1, meanwhile, is envisioned by Honda as the pinnacle of reliable two-wheeled transport. Specifically, the marque has incorporated its know-how and manufacturing processes gained from gasoline-powered motorcycles into developing and producing the QC1.

The QC1 sports a similar exterior design to the Activa e:, but otherwise, it was kitted out to handle small distances. At maximum, its electric motor can output around 3 hp. It also has a cruising range of 80 kilometers per full charge of its fixed batteries.

Other notable features of the QC1 are a USB type C charging port for mobile devices, high-intensity LEDs, and a five-inch digital instrument cluster.

    Availability

No further details were provided for the two electric scooters for now. Honda, however, will likely release more information about the two rides once they officially launch in India in 2025.

In the context of the Philippines, there is no word yet on whether the two aforementioned models will reach the local scene. Honda Philippines, however, already sells the EM1 e: electric scooter for P155,400.

Intended for short-distance travels, the EM1 e: can produce up to 2.3 hp and 90 Newton-meters of torque. It also has a range of up to 48 kilometers.
