So, what are the all-new Suzuki GSX-8T and GSX-8TT offering to prospective buyers?
Styling
As mentioned above, the Suzuki GSX-8T and GSX-8TT come with designs that were inspired by nameplates of yore. The two are basically naked sport motorcycles, with the GSX-8TT wearing a mini cowl similar to the one worn by the Suzuki GS1000 - another timeless classic. Specific to the GSX-8T is an exposed mono-round headlamp.

The aforementioned are complemented by neo-retro liveries, handlebar end mirrors, tapered aluminum handlebars, and cast aluminum wheels wrapped in Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tires.
Features
While the Suzuki GSX-8T and GSX-8TT are retro-inspired, both do not come short when it comes to amenities. Present on both all-new Suzuki rides are the following:
- HY battEliiy P-series starter battery
- USB Type-C charging port
- Five-inch color TFT display
- Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS)
Photo from Suzuki Philippines IncorporatedTo note, the SDMS lets riders choose between three different power settings that Suzuki says will be ideal in various situations. Mode Active provides the sharpest throttle response, whereas Mode Basic dampens the throttle response for more control. The first of the two is ideal for carving curvy roads and overtaking, while the second is tuned to make the bike more pliant on commutes.
The third one, meanwhile, is called Mode Comfort, which offers an even softer throttle response for dealing with wet or slippery surfaces.
Safety-wise, the two nameplates also have anti-lock braking and the multi-mode Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS). Waking up these rides is also touted to be easy thanks to the Suzuki Easy Start System. Plus, the two models also get a “Low RPM Assist Function” to help prevent stalling.

Powertrain
For their engines, the Suzuki GSX-8T and GSX-8TT both use a 776-cubic-centimeter (CC) parallel-twin, double overhead cam (DOHC) engine paired with a six-speed transmission equipped with shift-by-wire technology. As of their local introductions, however, SPH didn’t share output figures for the two models.

Stopping power for the two models, meanwhile, is provided by dual front discs and a single rear disc. Last but not least is a dual-stage catalytic converter ensuring reduced emissions.
