Suzuki PH launches GSX-8T, GSX-8TT

MANILA: Suzuki Philippines Incorporated has officially added the all-new GSX-8T and GSX-8TT to its product lineup. The aforementioned comes after the two models’ global debut back in July 2025.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What are the prices of the Suzuki GSX-8T and GSX-8TT in the Philippines?

In the Philippines, the Suzuki GSX-8T retails at P699,000, while the GSX-8TT is priced at P729,000.
  • What is the engine of the Suzuki GSX-8T and GSX-8TT?

Both the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT use a 776-cubic-centimeter, parallel-twin, double overhead cam (DOHC) engine.
  • Both rides pay a homage to the old T500 “Titan”, which was initially released back in 1968. As such, the two new models are touted to provide a combination of retro-inspired styling details and modern Suzuki technology

So, what are the all-new Suzuki GSX-8T and GSX-8TT offering to prospective buyers?

    Styling

As mentioned above, the Suzuki GSX-8T and GSX-8TT come with designs that were inspired by nameplates of yore. The two are basically naked sport motorcycles, with the GSX-8TT wearing a mini cowl similar to the one worn by the Suzuki GS1000 - another timeless classic. Specific to the GSX-8T is an exposed mono-round headlamp.

For extra range and heft, both get a sizable but muscular-looking 16.5-liter fuel tank. The aforementioned are complemented by neo-retro liveries, handlebar end mirrors, tapered aluminum handlebars, and cast aluminum wheels wrapped in Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tires

    Features

While the Suzuki GSX-8T and GSX-8TT are retro-inspired, both do not come short when it comes to amenities. Present on both all-new Suzuki rides are the following:

    • HY battEliiy P-series starter battery
    • USB Type-C charging port
    • Five-inch color TFT display
    • Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS)

To note, the SDMS lets riders choose between three different power settings that Suzuki says will be ideal in various situations. Mode Active provides the sharpest throttle response, whereas Mode Basic dampens the throttle response for more control. The first of the two is ideal for carving curvy roads and overtaking, while the second is tuned to make the bike more pliant on commutes.

The third one, meanwhile, is called Mode Comfort, which offers an even softer throttle response for dealing with wet or slippery surfaces.

Safety-wise, the two nameplates also have anti-lock braking and the multi-mode Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS). Waking up these rides is also touted to be easy thanks to the Suzuki Easy Start System. Plus, the two models also get a “Low RPM Assist Function” to help prevent stalling.

Apart from what was mentioned above, both models may be installed with a range of optional accessories from SPH. Some examples include a single seat cowl, a soft side case set, tank side protectors, billet brake and clutch levers, and a smoked tint visor.

    Powertrain

For their engines, the Suzuki GSX-8T and GSX-8TT both use a 776-cubic-centimeter (CC) parallel-twin, double overhead cam (DOHC) engine paired with a six-speed transmission equipped with shift-by-wire technology. As of their local introductions, however, SPH didn’t share output figures for the two models.

The aforementioned engine is nestled within a tubular steel chassis, which is propped up by an upside-down KYB fork and a link-type rear suspension system. Stopping power for the two models, meanwhile, is provided by dual front discs and a single rear disc. Last but not least is a dual-stage catalytic converter ensuring reduced emissions.

    Availability, price

According to Suzuki, both models are available from all Suzuki Big Bikes Centers nationwide as of August 2025. The Suzuki GSX-8T starts at P699,000, whereas the GSX-8TT retails at P729,000
