TVS launches iQube S to PH market

MANILA: TVS Motor Company has recently launched the iQube S in the Philippines — further expanding its lineup in the local market.

    Per TVS Motor Company, the iQube S has already captured the attention of more than 300,000 customers around the world.

    Representing the future of urban commuting, the all-new TVS all-new iQube S measures 1,835 millimeters (mm) long; 690 mm wide; and 1,195 mm tall with a 157-mm ground clearance, and 1,330-mm wheelbase.

    The all-new TVS iQube S sports a modern and utilitarian design as seen in the futuristic front fascia carrying the squared illumination system, a wide floorboard, baggage hooks, and a 32-liter storage under the seat.

    Fitted on the scooter’s handlebar is a seven-inch digital cluster, with an intuitive five-way joystick to control music, personalize themes among others.

    Moving the electrified scooter is a hub-mounted motor that can dish out 5.6 horsepower and 130 Newton-meters of torque, which allows the vehicle to reach a top speed of 78 kilometers per hour (kph) and hit 40 kph from standstill in 4.2 seconds at rated load. The EV powertrain in TVS iQube S is IP-67 compliant — giving strong resistance to water and dust exposure.

    Power comes from the two lithium-ion battery packs with a total capacity of 3.4 kilowatt-hours. It features an intelligent in-house battery management system that delivers a real-world range of 100 kilometer when fully charged.

    The all-new TVS iQube S is packaged with a 650-watt portable carry-along charger that can be used in any five-amp household socket that makes home charging very convenient and affordable. It has a charging time of 4.5 hours from zero-80-percent.

    Other technologies equipped in the newly-launched model are the TVS SMARTXONNECT that comprises enhanced navigation system, telematics unit, anti-theft, geofencing features, crash/fall alert.

    Any smartphone can be linked to the vehicle via the dedicated TVS Connect app, which displays real-time battery status, ride statistics and enables music control while riding using the HMI interface. Its Alexa skill set has a voice command feature to access information. The platform also ensures 100-percent vehicle wellness through proactive diagnosis and timely service alerts given on the dashboard. In addition, it also dishes out incoming calls, short message alerts, and social media application notifications.

    The all-new TVS iQube S wears a P180,000-price tag.
