Yamaha Motor PH fields refreshed roster for ARRC 2026

MANILA: Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) has fielded its refreshed roster of racers for the 2026 season of the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC).

The team, comprised of McKinley Kyle Paz, April King Mascardo, and Timothy Rojas, commenced their campaign the previous weekend (April 10-12) at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.

Going forward, the trio aims to compete at the highest level and deliver results on the international stage.

“Carrying the momentum of its strengthened racing program, the Yamaha Philippines Racing Team fields a focused and determined lineup ready to take on Asia’s most competitive grid. With every rider prepared to push beyond boundaries, Yamaha enters the new season with one mindset. Defy Limits,” YMPH wrote in a press release.

Supersport 600

Competing in the ARRC Supersport 600 category is “The Wonderboy.”

Racing under the banner of Hong Leong Yamaha Racing Team, Paz rides the Yamaha YZF-R6 and aims to achieve favorable results in his upcoming outing. 

There, he faces some of the region’s most experienced riders. His continued presence in the international circuit reflects both his capability and YMPH’s trust in his ability to deliver against elite competition.

“As the season begins, all eyes are on Paz to set the tone and lead the charge for Yamaha Philippines,” the company noted.

Underbone 150

Looking to win in the ARRC Underbone 150 class are Mascardo and Rojas under the Yamaha Racetech Philippines Racing Team.

The former — who many would agree to be a segment mainstay — brings experience and composure into the new season, aiming to deliver consistent performances against a stacked field of regional contenders. 

On the other hand, the latter steps into the international stage with determination and the drive to prove himself.

Rojas is the newest addition to the crew and carries both opportunity and expectation, ready to make his mark and contribute to Yamaha’s campaign in the highly competitive class.

Defying limits

The ARRC remains one of the most demanding racing platforms in Asia, where every round tests not only speed, but endurance, strategy, and precision.

“For Yamaha Motor Philippines, this is where the standard is set. Each race is an opportunity to push further, ride harder, and compete without hesitation against the best in the region,” YMPH said.

“With a strengthened lineup and a unified racing direction, Yamaha approaches the season opener with urgency and focus. Every rider carries the same responsibility. To represent the brand with excellence and to perform at a level that reflects Yamaha’s racing DNA,” it added.

“As the lights prepare to go out for the opening round, Yamaha Philippines stands ready,” the company concluded.
