Smooth ride
The BMW F850 GS has a long travel suspension at both ends that ensure a smooth ride. Even super-bumpy roads feel smooth. The suspension is soft-sprung and almost under-damped at low speeds. I didn’t take the BMW F850 GS off-road. I drove it on a long highway stretch and the experience was amazing. The seat offers great comfort and the riding position is straight. I’m particularly careful about this since many sports-commuting bikes come with a stooping seating position. This leads to back pain after prolonged use. The grooved tires offer great grip and you never feel out of balance.
