Ducati Desert X Design

The Ducati DesertX sports a unique appearance and aesthetic language that was inspired by rally racing. The motorcycle has an angular and aggressive appearance, and a number of design cues highlight its off-road performance and capability. The DesertX has a sizable covering that resembles a beak up front that helps riders avoid wind and flying objects. Dual LED headlights that support the fairing offer exceptional visibility in every situation. The motorcycle's powerful presence is enhanced by the wide handlebars and windscreen, which also provide a comfortable riding position. Moreover, the bike has a high-mounted exhaust system that helps prevent damage to the bike's undercarriage when travelling over uneven terrain.

The fuel tank of the motorcycle is flat and wide, making it simple to hold onto with your knees when standing up on the pegs. The DesertX has a thin tail portion at the back that is intended to lighten the motorcycle and improve its aerodynamics. The bike has a sleek appearance thanks to the integrated LED turn signals and taillights in the rear fender. The DesertX is currently only offered in the Desert Sand colour scheme.

Desert X Ride & Handling

Adventure motorcycles with exceptional off-road and on-road performance include the Ducati DesertX. It is nimble and manoeuvrable thanks to its long-travel suspension, adjustable compression and rebound damping, wide handlebars, short profile, narrow seat, and small turning radius.
Also, it is perfect for lengthy rides and protracted off-road excursions due to its comfortable riding position and solid handling. 50mm upside-down forks are used for the front suspension, while a fully adjustable mono-shock is used for the rear suspension. The rear wheel is an 18-inch rim that contributes to increased stability and handling, while the front wheel is a 21-inch rim that offers outstanding ground clearance and off-road prowess.

Ducati Desert X Engine & Fuel Consumption

A 1,079 cc liquid-cooled L-Twin engine with a maximum output of 100 horsepower and a peak torque of 94 Nm powers the Ducati DesertX. The engine has Ducati's renowned Desmodromic valve system, which contributes to better power delivery and decreased engine wear. Additionally, it is engineered to deliver strong midrange and low-end power, which makes it perfect for off-road riding and navigating difficult terrain.

A 6-speed transmission that is designed for off-road riding and rapid gear changes connects the engine to the wheels while a slipper clutch aids to lessen wheel hop and increase stability during strong downshifts. The motorcycle's 16-liter gasoline tank offers a sufficient amount of range for lengthy off-road excursions. According to Ducati, the motorcycle has a top speed of 118 mph and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds.

Desert X Braking & Safety

Dual 320 mm front brake discs with Brembo radial-mounted callipers provide braking power, while the rear brake consists of a single 245 mm disc with a single-piston calliper. The sophisticated braking system gives the rider superb feedback and modulation, enabling them to use the appropriate amount of stopping power in every circumstance. The DesertX has cutting-edge electronics for safety measures that help with control and stability. The bike has a robust electronics suite that includes ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, and ABS for cornering.

Ducati Desert X Verdict
