Ducati Hypermotard 950

As said earlier, the bike combines the theme of a traditional naked roadster and a modernized dual-purpose motorcycle in its design. The bike has a slim and sharp profile with a pretty good road presence in the middleweight motorcycle segment. 

The front of the bike features a minimalist style with a small trapezoidal headlamp and curved upper and lower edges that are fixed with DRLs on its right and left edges. A small front visor above it and the high-mounted beak-shaped front fender are attached to the bottom of the headlamp. It also gets integrated with air vents for enhanced high-speed aerodynamics. 

The Ducati Hypermotard 950’s lean design takes its full glory in its side profile. The slim fuel tank with long knee recesses and pointy triangular tank extensions are mentionable design elements along with the two-part trellis frame, with the red mainframe and black sub-frame, over the black-themed engine. The trellis frame serves as the side body panels on the bike along with dual under-seat exhausts besides the pillion seat. The premium switchgear and a rectangular full TFT-colored instrument console enhance the appeal. This instrument console screen gets the speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, gear indicator, odometer, trip meters, and selected ride and power modes.

The Ducati Hypermotard 950 has an almost flat handlebar which makes for a unique and convenient riding position. Features like the wide and flat handlebar, narrow sides, and low weight of the bike make for great agility when taking turns and changing directions. 

The Ducati Hypermotard 950 is not an outright dual-purpose machine but exceeds the naked roadster experience with the lean and tall design, as well as high ground clearance. For comfort, the bike gets Marzochhi 45mm inverted hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and Sachs progressive linkage with adjustable spring preload and rebound damping mono-shock at the rear end along with the aluminium single-sided swing-arm. 

The Ducati Hypermotard 950 is powered by a 937cc Testastretta 11-degree twin-cylinder engine that can produce 114 hp of maximum power at 9,000 rpm and 96 Nm of peak torque. The best part about the bike is that more than 80% of the torque is available at around 3,000 RPM. That engine paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox definitely makes the Ducati Hypermotard 950 one of the most powerful premium middleweight motorcycles in the Philippines market.

The braking duties on the bike are handled by very efficient disc brakes, which include dual 320mm discs at the front and a single 245mm disc at the rear. 

The bike is one of the most complete packages in terms of safety features which include handlebars with crash guards, as well integrated LED turn indicators in them. 

Other safety features include different Riding Modes, the highly acclaimed Bosch Cornering ABS, Ducati Slide by Brake, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Power Modes, and a ride by wire system. You also get an Anti-theft system, Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) up/down EVO, Heated grips, and Ducati Multimedia System (DMS) optionally on the bike. 

The Ducati Hypermotard 950 is a well-engineered bike designed for a superior level of fun and enjoyable riding experience, very practical and sustainable use along with optimum controllability. While the price tag can be slightly higher for some people, it definitely is a great bike at its price with great power, unique appearance, and a whole suite of modern and advanced tech and safety features for an exceptional riding experience.
