To give the fun and essence of an adventure touring motorcycle in a scooter, Honda has come up with the ADV 150. The Honda ADV 150 tries to woo people with its unique design and capabilities which give it an upper hand over other conventional scooters. Honda has priced the ADV 150 at PHP 149,000, and has made the scooter available in two paint schemes of red and bronze.
There is no ambiguity about the fact that the Honda ADV 150 looks astonishing in actual. The adventure tourer kind of looks and stance gives it an immediate recognition of itself, making it look like a one of a kind scooter.
The Honda ADV 150 looks tall with its high mounted front windshield, along with an aggressively styled front apron, which houses a dual headlamp setup. The tall stance of the scooter is further accentuated by the long telescopic forks and large front tyre.
The partitioned floorboard is a theme borrowed from the maxi scooters which make the Honda ADV 150 look visually big. The silver accents on the side edge of the front fairing and rear side body panels downwards add some more visual drama to the scooter. The upraised exhaust pipe too is a very adventure motorcycle-like.
At the rear, the Honda ADV 150 has a very minimalist appeal with chiseled side body panels ending up in a small tail lamp assembly and split pillion grab rails, along with a big rear mudguard. Another thing, which adds visual bulk to the ADV 150 is its seat, which is large and can seat two adults with ease.
Another positive characteristic of this large seat is the storage space beneath it – with 28 litres of the compartment, the Honda ADV 150 has one of the largest under-seat storage spaces among the premium scooters positioned below the maxi scooters.
Coming to the rider’s cockpit, the Honda ADV 150 seems quite wide with a single piece handlebar that has comfortable grips and rich switchgear on either end. The rectangular full LCD instrument console with blue backlit shows digital readouts for speedometer, fuel gauge, tachometer, clock, odometer, and trip meters. Below the instrument console is placed a rectangular housing for telltale lamps, which has an array of indicators to let you updated.
The Honda ADV 150 comes with a few handy features like an adjustable front windscreen, external fuel filler, USN charging for smartphones and a smart key system with keyless ignition, which not only makes it feel premium but also very practical.
The Honda ADV 150 might not be a go-anywhere thing like an actual adventure tourer from which it sources its looks and stance. However, with a tall suspension setup of telescopic forks at the front and twin gas-charged shocks at the rear, as well as the large 14-inch front wheel and 13-inch rear wheel, it looks visually big and gets good touring and handling characteristics. The riding ergonomics too are quite spot on and the scooter feels comfortable and easy to manoeuvre.
At the heart of the Honda ADV 150 is a very potent four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 150cc engine, which is mated to a conventional V-belt automatic transmission and produces a maximum power output of 14.6 PS and a peak torque output of 13.8 Nm. Despite such powerful performance numbers, the Honda ADV 150 is pretty fuel-efficient too, with a claimed fuel efficiency figure of 46 kmpl.
Along with the smart keyless ignition which has an alarm and answer back system, the Honda ADV 150 also has a single-channel ABS which aids the 240mm front disc brake, with the scooter also getting a 220mm disc brake at the rear.
The Honda ADV 150 not looks visually stunning with the looks and stance of an adventure tourer, lending it a unique appeal. To add-in, it also gets great performance levels as well as big scooter appeal in terms of riding dynamics, which make it a good entry-level maxi scooter to begin with.
Yes, it is definitely a headturner! A sporty looks! I really love the design. I also like the performance. Easy to operate. Keyless and the comfort you'll get while driving is awesome. Good for a big person. It's a bit heavy though. Big and wider compartment. It also has a bigger tank.
Honda calls this an adventure scooter and that’s not without any reason. The Adv 150 looks all set to take on the off-road terrain. The wheelbase is wide. It can comfortably cruise between 45-55mph. The bike’s center of gravity is low, leading to a very balanced ride. The scooter is mounted on a duplex-cradle frame which is almost like a
The Honda ADV 150 is one such scooter that gives out the most appealing vibes in a scooter segment ever! This product is the perfect example of innovation, afterall, an ADV in the form of a scooter, isn’t that amazing? This scooter brings the best of both worlds with its design feature and the styling. What makes it way more
If you look at it, the Honda ADV 150 is one of the most unique scooter concepts that have been introduced by the brand. Generally, we’ve only seen adventure bikes in the 150cc segment but the ADV 150 being a scooter does a seamlessly great job at keeping up with the others in its segment. I’ve been using the bike
Honda dubs the Adv 150 as an adventure scooter. And yes, it does perform according to expectations. The bike offers comfortable cruising on 2-lane roads and sweeps corners with great effect within the city. Handling is easy and predictable. The scooter is packed with features like keyless ignition and disc brake. The Showa front and rear suspension provide good support
I always prefer a scooter to a bike while riding on city roads. Though, I feel disheartened that the adventure streak is missed out while riding a scoot in specific. Thus, the discovery of Honda Adv 150 in the market seems like a miracle happened to my life. Finally could grab hold of something which, in spite of being a
I bought the Honda Adv 150 soon after it debuted here in September 2019. Over the last two years, the scooter has become my all-time companion. I have even gone on short outstation trips with this scooter. The riding position is so good that I never felt tired. The Honda Adv 150 comes with a neat list of features like
If someone stresses upon the exterior looks of the bikes a lot I feel the name of Honda adv-150 should be included in his shortlisted options. The bike looks stunning with its vibrant color, mesmerizing graphics and exquisite front apron. Since I prefer to opt for bikes which are skillful both in terms of on road and off road riding,
The ADV 150 has made quite a hype in the country because of its edgy and rugged design that instantly attracts attention wherever it goes. I chose to opt for the ADV because I loved the way it handled itself. For starters, the ADV 150 is very tall which accounts for a great riding stance for average-height individuals like me.
