Honda Airblade Review 2025
Abhishek Katariya says
The leading model of Honda has something new from its stable that is Honda Air Blade 150. It was launched publicly at the beginning of the year 2020 and was made available in the nearest dealerships by March. The latest sensation in the scooter community received a good market boose with its release.
Even though it was released during the situation of the lockdown the sales chart was comparatively good. It has all its good bits in terms of performance, styling, and comfort. The current model is a more upgraded version and has a lot of improvements in comparison to its previous model.
If you are not concerned about the brand image of Air Blade then the features of this scooter will surely win your heart. Features like Smart Key system, keyless ignition, ABS, under-seat compartment, and a parking brake lock at this price range is indeed a great deal.
Honda Airblade Design
An appealing scooter for any age group with extraordinary features and available in all classic colour variants. Honda has already hit a jackpot in terms of styling Air Blade with a gold-laced body that clads just a little above the floorboard. The little clash highlights the inner beauty of this scooter that has a unique styling pitch.
The front end of the scooter will remind you of the ADV 150's fascia with those rigid LED headlights. The turn signals are entrenched with the extensive lighting fixtures that provide a futuristic lightning effect. The scooter looks more aggressive with the headlights on that depict a look of a predator that is ready to attack its prey.
Airblade Ride & Handling
The aerodynamic styling and impressive stability are the two features that make this scooter so popular in the market. It is the vitality of this scooter that allows this scooter to smoothly ride on the highways. Though the tiny windscreen won't provide the rider with any kind of protection from the wind.
The rider needs to lean forward to reach the top speed and enjoy their adventurous ride breaking the shackles of wind. You will be offered the same telescopic fork that is the ADV and PCX for a convenient handling experience. But then, you don't need to give much of your effort to kickstart the scooter as the kickstand goes out smoothly.
Honda Airblade Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Honda Air Blade has the same 149cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke single-cylinder engine. The ADV and PCX spike the scale up to 133 kg and 131 kg respectively and that offers it an advantage in terms of power-to-weight ratio. Moreover, the Air Blade delivers a very aggressive acceleration when the throttle is twisted completely.
The average performance offered by the Air Blade is 46 kmpl of fuel and this figure has been improved with further activation of the idling stop system. Though this scooter is the smallest among other Honda's 149cc scooters, it has the same features as that of its other mates.
Airblade Braking & Safety
Safety-wise the Honda Air Blade is equipped with a combi-brake system or a single-channel ABS. A side-stand switch, a USB charger, and a remote response key system will assist the rider in tracking down its scooter in a crowded area. The presence of a convenient multifunction key shutter and an integrated switch for the U-box and fuel tank lid adds to its safety features.
The front single disc brakes and drum rear disc brakes offer better handling of the scooter.
Honda Airblade Verdict
Huge things can also come in small packages at times and the same is the case with Honda Air Blade. The Honda Air Blade has a huge list of convenience and safety features that makes it stand out in this competitive market. It offers a substantial under-seat compartment for storage and an extra powerful engine that contributes to a greater riding experience.
It looks small in size but this small scooter has won the heart of millions with its quick acceleration. The scooter is a bit pricey given its compact size and this is where it experiences a downfall.
