An Italian motorcycle brand, known for its sporty design and special riding features, MV Agusta or Meccanica Verghera Agusta was founded in 1945. The term Meccanica stands for mechanic and Verghera is the town where the first MV motorcycles were made.
The company has been a brand, significant for its motorcycles and was established by the Agusta brothers by the dawn of Second World War. The company was not always meant to be a motorcycle brand but was set as a spin-off of the Agusta Aviation company led by their father.
MV Agusta’s first prototype unit was called the “Vespa 98” in 1945. The motorcycle had its name due to the power and displacement it had to offer. Soon enough, the company also introduced the market to a wide range of small-displacement, cafe racer-style motorcycles, raging through the time period of the 1950s and 1960s.
At the time of its manufacturing, the brand made its name for producing 125cc to 150cc motorcycles until MV Agusta tapped into bigger displacements when sales began to drop. This marked the beginning of the brand’s start-up which began as an Italian motorcycle manufacturer that began its movement by taking participation in tracks and evolvement in the tracks.
The company’s first big accomplishment was winning the Italian Grand Prix with the help of their 125cc two-stroke motorcycle, rode by their rider Franco Bertoni. It was the winning at Grad Prix that gave the MV brand, recognition on a global scale.
The brand made its impact in the Philippines in early 2013, however, the Italian motorcycle failed to make its impact in the Philipino market. MV Augusta later re-launched itself in the market in the month of April 2019. The “rebirth” included a new partnership with local distributor Motostrada.
Today, MV Agusta is widely known for its beautiful motorcycles in the larger displacement class. Its current offerings in the Philippines are the Brutale 800, F4 100, F3 800 and 365, Turismo Veloce 800, and Dragster 800.

It’s difficult to explain the riding experience of the MV Augusta F3 800. I never rode any motorcycle like this before. It’s superbly sporty, comes packed with technology, and is a pleasurable vehicle to ride. The 800cc engine is a beauty. It obeys commands promptly. The riding style is sporty and the MV Augusta F3 800 is a looker from 18
The MV Augusta is a beast of a motorcycle. No wonder it’s produced in limited quantities. It has everything that you want from a bike. The naked-faired bike looks stunning. It looks ready to prove its prowess on the road. In fact, the Augusta RVS has menacing dragster looks. It’s suitable for only one rider. The riding style is somewhat 2
Augusta always comes up with bikes that look heavenly. Heads turn when you arrive in an MV Augusta. And why not? The Rush, for example, looks astoundingly handsome in its hyper-naked avatar. The oversized fuel tank, the pointed headlight, and the golden color embellishments on the all-black scheme look fabulous. The Augusta Rush is a mean machine. The 1-liter engine 9
The Veloce range of bikes from MV Augusta is the most handsome machines around. This is touring bike which can be used for occasional speed thrills down the highway. Here’s a bike that comes with high ground clearances, long-travel suspension and ergonomics that offer globetrotting levels of comfort. It’s an entirely different experience to ride the Superveloce. The 800cc motor 2
There are bikes and then there’s the MV Augusta Turismo Veloce. Whichever angle you look at it, this is the best looking bike ever. Yes, the motorcycle is hugely expensive. It’s for the rich and famous. I recently had the experience of commanding the Turismo Veloce. It’s difficult to explain the feeling. The bike comes with the most powerful engine 19
