MV Agusta F3 675 Design
It’s truly hard to believe that the original design of the MV Agusta F3 675 is almost a decade-year-old, as even today, it has all the right ingredients to present itself as the sharpest and most exotic looking middleweight supersport motorcycle in the world. The quintessential Italian flair is present in the right amount in the MV Agusta F3 675.
The front fairing of the MV Agusta F3 675 looks minimalist with the main highlight here being the diamond-shaped headlight, which engulfs a simple halogen projector bulb. The very aerodynamic front fairing ends up with a pointy chin comprising of two sleek silver-finished air vents, which further add to its overall sleekness. The same impression is executed by the compact fairing-mounted rearview mirrors, with their angular design.
The entire side portion of the extended front fairing is shaped like a big-W, which partially covers the red colored trellis frame and centrally mounted engine with a V-shaped air vent placed ahead of it on the fairing to facilitate heat dissipation. The fuel tank, in contrast, looks smaller and sleek with horizontal knee recesses, thus giving a very aggressive riding posture along with rear-set footpegs and low positioned handlebars.
It is from the rear where the MV Agusta F3 675 looks at its best. The sharply rising wide tailpiece, which accommodates the small pillion perch with an optional available seat cover, as well as the triple small exhaust pipes stacked one over the other on the right side of the motorcycle make it look extremely sporty and exotic. The six-spoke alloys have a simple design, but even they look delicious thanks to the presence of single-sided swing-arm on the motorcycle.
Where the MV Agusta F3 675 really exposes its decade old impression is its instrument console, which is small and looks extremely dated with its archaic layout. Nevertheless, this full TFT blue-backlit digital unit displays data for speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, odometer, trip meters, gear indicator and selected ride mode for the traction control.
F3 675 Ride & Handling
The MV Agusta F3 675 is surely on the heavier side of the spectrum, when compared to the rest of the new-age middleweight super sports in its competition. However, despite that, the motorcycle manages to feel amply agile, with sportily tuned and fully adjustable suspension setup of upside-down hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and monoshock at the rear. The bike gets further assistance of ride by wire technology to make the throttle experience even sharper.
MV Agusta F3 675 Engine & Fuel Consumption
The MV Agusta F3 675 is powered by the smallest engine in the F3 lineup of middleweight powertrains - a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, inline-three, 675cc engine paired to a 6-speed gearbox. This engine makes some pretty impressive figures even today – 128 PS of maximum power output as well as 71 Nm of peak torque output.
F3 675 Braking & Safety
The MV Agusta F3 675 might be a decade old motorcycle, but it still doesn’t feel too much under-equipped when it comes to safety and electronic riding aids. The supersport motorcycle is bestowed with decent levels of equipment such as ABS, 8-level traction control and hydraulic slipper clutch.
MV Agusta F3 675 Verdict
The super exotic timeless design of the MV Agusta F3 675 has to be its most talked about the point at any given point of time – it is that heart-achingly beautiful to look at. The motorcycle does feel aged when it comes to equipment levels on offer, but still doesn’t feel too old school, as it gets all the essential features and excellent levels of performance on tap.
