MV Agusta Brutale 800 Design
The motorcycles from MV Agusta have always been known for showcasing the perfection of art on two wheels, and the MV Agusta Brutale 800 is no exception either. The motorcycle has been around for almost half a decade now, but even today, it can easily outrun any other middleweight naked roadster easily with its super aggressive design language.
At the front, the MV Agusta Brutale 800 has got a tilted and large round headlamp, which sadly misses out on a projector bulb or full LED lighting, and instead, it gets simple halogen bulbs. However, to make up for it, this headlamp gets round daytime running LED running through the circumference of the headlight. The best part of this front fascia here on the MV Agusta Brutale 800 is surely the super sleek LED turn indicators. A small triangular visor sits atop of the headlamp, thus completing the frontal look of the MV Agusta Brutale 800.
The side profile of the MV Agusta Brutale 800 showcases aggression in its design in the best possible form. The motorcycle looks extremely sporty, with the chunk of visual mass concentrated around the black-themed engine. The engine here is enclosed in a black finished trellis frame, above which sits a super curvy fuel tank with rounded knee recesses and black finished boomerang-shaped fuel tank extensions. The presence of faux air vents above the fuel tank extensions adds to the visual drama.
While moving towards the rear, the MV Agusta Brutale 800 has a sense of minimalism in its design. The main rider’s seat has a nice looking cavity beneath it, and the split pillion perch behind it sits on the main tailpiece, which is lifted upwards and looks nice with a small tail lamp assembly within it. The absence of a proper rear fender, single-sided swingarm, triple exhaust pipes stacked vertically one over the other – all work together to make the MV Agusta Brutale 800 look stupendously good from the rear and sides.
The Achilles heel of the MV Agusta Brutale 800 has to be the archaic-looking full TFT instrument console, which has been lifted off from the MV Agusta F3 675. This unit, however, is decently informative, with displays for speedometer, tachometer, odometer, trip meters, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, gear indicator and selected ride mode for the traction control on offer.
Brutale 800 Ride & Handling
The MV Agusta Brutale 800 is fitted with premium mechanical hardware, comprising of upside-down hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and monshock at the rear, both of which are fully adjustable as per the requirement of the ride. The slipper clutch and ride by wire technology make the overall riding experience even more involving and responsive. The bike has been equipped with dual disc brakes at the front and a single disc brake at the rear, and tips the weighing scales at just 175 kgs.
MV Agusta Brutale 800 Engine & Fuel Consumption
Powering the MV Agusta Brutale 800 is the same four-stroke, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, inline-three 798cc motor from the MV Agusta F3 800, albeit in a different state of tune. The engine, here in the standard MV Agusta Brutale 800, makes a maximum power output of 110 PS, while the peak torque output is rated at 83 Nm.
Brutale 800 Braking & Safety
The MV Agusta Brutale 800 is armed with a decent list of safety add-ons, including dual-channel ABS, 8-level traction control with four different ride modes – Sport, Race, Rain and Custom, slipper clutch and rear-wheel lift-up mitigation.
MV Agusta Brutale 800 Verdict
While the major highlight of the MV Agusta Brutale 800 has to be its astonishingly beautiful and sporty styling, the motorcycle succeeds in impressing even more with all the usable performance and agile handling on tap. However, with stiff ride quality and limited pillion comfort onboard, this is not a comfortable motorcycle for long-distance touring, but for making your short jaunts pretty thrilling and addictive.
