UM DSRX

In terms of dimensions, the UM DSRX model line measures 2,110 mm in length, 810 mm in width, and 860 mm in seat height. This dual-purpose motorcycle also has a wheelbase of 1,330 mm.

The DSRX features a youthful, rugged look, characterized by vibrant motorsport decals and functional elements. Its utilitarian front end is illuminated by a trapezoidal halogen headlamp and a pair of signal lights for enhanced visibility, whether you are riding around the city or navigating through rural trails. It also features a sharp beak, as well as conventional-looking mirrors and a front fork suspension finished in black.

Moreover, its rugged side profile is complemented by a pair of robust spoked wheels (front: 19-inch, rear: 17-inch). In addition, an exhaust pipe with a silver tip and blacked-out naked features add more sportiness to its overall silhouette on the road. At the back, it features a pointed bulb-type tail lamp and another pair of signal lights.

Consistent with its functional character is an analogue instrument panel that displays the speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, and other essential information. Its seat offers decent cushioning and support for the rider but is a bit thin and narrow on the pillion’s side. Additionally, shorter riders may find its seat a bit high. 

On the bright side, this dual-purpose motorcycle comes with foot pegs and rubberized pillion footrests, making stop-and-go traffic and extended rides more manageable. The passenger can also benefit from this dual-purpose motorcycle’s built-in rear grab bar.

The UM DSRX model line comes with a hydraulic suspension combination of a Telescopic Fork at the front and a Monoshock with spring at the rear. This suspension setup enhances this dual-purpose motorcycle’s robustness both in the city and on light off-road terrains. It soaks up bumpy, uneven concrete pavements and light rocky and muddy trails quite excellently. Aside from that, it handles twists and turns with confidence while remaining nimble to maneuver through city traffic and narrow streets. Ultimately, its chassis feels durable yet agile at the same time. 

As previously mentioned, the UM DSRX is offered in four displacement options: 125, 135, 150, and 200, with a single-cylinder, four-stroke, four-valve, air-cooled engine that produces 9.38 to 14.89 hp of maximum power and 8.6 to 15.58 Nm of maximum torque. This dual-purpose motorcycle comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. 

The DSRX’s engine delivers smooth and manageable power suited for both urban commuting and light off-road adventures. Its predictable power delivery makes this motorcycle easy to control, particularly on uneven terrain and technical trails. 

While it may lack the outright power of larger-displacement competitors, its simplicity and tractable performance complement the DSRX’s dual-purpose character. That said, it offers a practical balance between performance, usability, and ease of handling.

The UM DSRX model line utilizes a single disc for front braking and a drum for the rear. In terms of safety, this dual-purpose motorcycle is equipped with UM’s advanced Anti-Flat Sealant (AFS) technology, multiple reflectors, a pass switch, and a low fuel indicator, among others. 

The UM DSRX is a versatile and capable dual-purpose motorcycle that strikes a good balance between agility and ruggedness. Its manageable performance and confidence-inspiring handling make it enjoyable to ride both around the city and on light off-road trails. That said, it is a compelling option for riders seeking an affordable and adventure-ready motorcycle for everyday use and weekend exploration.
