UM Hypersport

In terms of dimensions, the UM Hypersport model line measures 2,110 mm in length, 820 mm in width, 1,090 mm in overall height, and 820 mm in seat height. This supermoto also comes with a 1,390-mm wheelbase.

For its class, the Hypersport exudes a big-bike presence wherever it goes, thanks to its sharp contours and muscular fairings. Its sharp-beaked fascia is fitted with an imposing-looking LED headlamp, along with pointed signal lights, ensuring maximum visibility at all times. Additionally, it features a gold-finished front fork suspension, giving its overall appearance more depth and warmth. 

In terms of features, it comes with a digital instrument cluster that displays the speedometer, tachometer, odometer, gear shift indicator, and fuel gauge. It also comes with a USB charging port for added convenience.

While its seat may not be the plushest out there, it still provides the rider with decent cushioning and support, even on extended trips. However, larger passengers may find its seat a bit thinly-padded and narrow, which may compromise his or her comfort level on longer rides. On the bright side, this motorcycle comes with rubberized rider foot pegs and pillion footrests, as well as a metal grab handle, making traffic filters and extended rides more tolerable for your passenger. 

Going back to design. Its aggressive, naked side profile is enhanced by sporty decals, a two-tone exhaust pipe, and a pair of 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels. Meanwhile, its triangular LED tail lamps give it a distinctive look at night. It gets another pair of pointed signal lights mounted on its plate holder.

The UM Hypersport model line comes with a hydraulic suspension combination of a Telescopic Fork at the front and a Monoshock with spring at the rear. This setup enhances the motorcycle’s versatility both on- and off-road. It is adaptable across a variety of road conditions while remaining capable on light off-road trails. 

It is also agile to maneuver, whether you are cruising through winding roads in the provinces or filtering through city traffic. That said, the Hypersport’s suspension setup is impressively well balanced for both everyday city commutes and light off-road adventures.

The UM Hypersport offers three displacement options for its single-cylinder, four-stroke, four-valve, air-cooled engine: 150cc, 199cc (200), and 223cc (230), producing a maximum power output ranging from 12.06 to 16 hp and a maximum torque output ranging from 11.5 to 17.69 Nm. The engines are paired with a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox.

That said, its engine delivers punchy yet manageable performance that is well suited to daily commuting and light touring. One of the main downsides of this supermoto, however, is that spirited riders may find its power somewhat lackluster, particularly during hard acceleration or sustained high-speed cruising. 

With this in mind, its engine’s great fuel efficiency even in the city’s mixed riding conditions more than makes up for its modest output. Overall, the Hypersport is an appealing option for riders who prioritize economy over outright performance.

In terms of safety, the UM Hypersport model line is equipped with the brand’s advanced Anti-Flat Sealant feature, multiple reflectors, a low fuel indicator, as well as a pass switch. This supermoto comes with front and rear single disc brakes. 

The UM Hypersport is a well-rounded sport bike that excels in everyday usability and versatility. While its performance may not satisfy some spirited riders, its fuel efficiency, manageable handling, and capable suspension make it an appealing choice for practical-minded riders.
