Maintenance tips for Mitsubishi Adventure

Maintenance tips for Mitsubishi Adventure

The Mitsubishi Adventure can be considered as one of the finest family wagons running on the roads of the Philippines. The MPV has been the number one choice for many buyers because of its affordable price tag, efficiency, and ease of maintenance.

However, irrespective of how popular and how efficient the Mitsubishi Adventure is, the car, just like any other model, is highly susceptible to natural wear and tear as the days go by. And for this, it deserves some regular (at intervals, of course) maintenance work to be done in the service zones.

Plus, there are some other things that you can do to keep your Adventure going great guns years after the purchase. And the good news is, these minor maintenance and inspection can be done by you, even if you are not a trained specialist in the field of the automotive mechanism.

Here are some ways using which you can keep your Mitsubishi Adventure in healthy condition for a long time.

Cleaning

This goes without saying, keeping your car clean is almost half the job done. Cleaning is not a very tough job for any of the car owners and it hardly takes an hour to be done. Here are some ways how you can clean your car along with the benefits it has on the durability.

Exterior

The exterior is the first thing that everyone notices in a car. In fact, it is quite justifiable if we judge the lifespan of a car only by its outer appearance. Of course, if you see a car that has its colour faded in the sun, has dents and scratches on the side or the front bumper, or has a thick coat of dust or dirt on the wheel arches and other profiles, you will opine that either it is a very old car or has been used very roughly over its tenure.

However, at the same time, if you see a car that is from the previous generation, but is still as good as new, you can conclude that it has been maintained well. You can also do the same by regularly cleaning your car or at least by getting rid of the dirt or bird drops as soon as possible because after the dirt dries on the car, getting them off may get the colour to erode.

Interior

The Mitsubishi Adventure is a complete family wagon. Hence, the interior cabin is one of the most important things you would want to be cleaned. You can do it yourself by using a vacuum cleaner to clean every corner of the cabin, especially the aircon vents and the button bits on the dashboard and beside the steering as they are prone to dust more. Moreover, dusty aircon vents will always fail to provide adequate cooling, thereby affecting the longevity

Check your tires

Keeping your tires in healthy condition is an indispensable factor for your Mitsubishi Adventure. You may use the MPV for long distance travelling. Hence, it is very important for you to keep your tires properly inflated to keep it away from damage and also to boost your fuel efficiency.

Check the fluids

There are some fluids that you should keep track of as an owner. Checking the fluid or changing them if necessary is not a very big task for anyone. There is always a checklist that you need to follow.

  • Windshield washer fluid should be filled to full before you leave for a long drive
  • The power steering fluid should be filled up to the halfway level, between the minimum and maximum level indicator
  • Engine oil is a very important thing to check. Be sure that the dipstick indicated normal range to prevent a breakdown in the middle of long drives
  • The fuel tank should at least be half full all the time in order to prevent condensation
  • Brake fluid is important. Make sure you check it regularly and refuel it when its low.

Maintain a steady speed

It has been seen that most of the SUVs and MPV perform the best and offer the highest fuel efficiency when they are driven at a stable speed of anywhere between 50-80 kmph. So, remember to be stable in that speed window whenever possible, except the times when you are within the busy city limits.

Don’t forget to schedule regular servicing

Service is the best thing you can do to keep your Mitsubishi Adventure, or any other car, in the perfect shape. Once you manage to get these things right, your car will start providing great feedbacks and would run for years with negligible lags.
