The Philippines Automotive Industry Welcoming New Model Line-Up this Summer

MANILA: This year the Philippines automotive industry seems to be blessed with enormous model line-ups presenting their innovation and technology on a consistent basis. Seeking this in perspective, we have gathered a list of model-line ups that will be appearing this summer. These stunning models that will perform the bulwark on the ramps of the Philippines pedestal are Volkswagen Passat, Isuzu D-Max, Toyota Innova, Toyota Fortuner, 2016 Mitsubishi Montero Sport, Suzuki Ciaz, and Nissan Navara.

Wouldn't it be interesting to explore more about these studs in detail? Yes, we know that the curiosity bubble has already erupted in your mind, so here we plan to chalk out the description for each of the model.

Volkswagen Passat

The VW Passat is categorized under the bracket of mid-size family sedan, and is meant for the target bracket incorporating the business oriented clan and working professionals. The first instance where it caught the eyes of the fanatics was back in the year 2015, with the visibility of its two variants. The 2015 model was available in the price range of  PhP 2.3 million and PhP 2.8 million. It was earlier mated with a  2.0-litre TSI engine with the potential to produce the power of 220 PS. Additionally, it has a 6-speed dual clutch with a Direct Shift Gearbox transmission. The new model is anticipated to be a better version with respect to the attributes and maybe looks too!

Isuzu D-Max

The Isuzu D-Max was spotted enjoying the adventurous ride at the peaks of Mount Pulag, showing off its off road driving potential. It is speculated to be accompanied with a D-Max 1.9-litre Ddi Blue Power turbo-diesel engine that may deliver the power of 150 PS at the rate of 3600 rpm and a torque of 350 Nm. It is expected to possess fuel efficiency and high on performance qualities. To add a new flavour to this stud, it had been offered with special promo offer that was associated with the facebook page and hash-tag based engagement. The fanatics were lured to present a photograph and video of them based on certain parameters namely Originality, Creativity, Emotional Impact, Time Adherence, and Overall Quality. The campaign name was termed as 'IlovemyIsuzuDMAX.' The prizes were indeed a centre of attraction as it could fetch the winner a grand prize a chance to win a trip worth PhP 30,000.

Toyota Innova & Toyota  Fortuner

It is doubtless to state that these two studs have been into limelight since the commencement of this year. It not only created a buzz in the Indian Auto Expo 2016, but thereafter left the traces of its popularity at a global level too. The Toyota Fortuner is said to have a possession of three options in place, that firstly a 2.7-litre 4 cylinder engine, having the capability to churn out the power of 166 PS with a torque of 245 Nm. On the other hand, there is a 2.4-litre diesel engine that can give the output of 150 PS with a torque of 400 Nm. Lastly, it has got a 2.8-litre engine that churns the power of 177 PS with a maximum torque of 450 Nm.

Talking in terms of Toyota Innova, it was interestingly spied at the beach of Panglao, which is situated at the island province of Bohol. The upgraded attributes include two engine selections, one being a 2.8-litre diesel engine and a 2.0-litre dual VVT-i gas engine. There has been a news in the air about its probabilistic chances to gather in the local production plant at the Philippines. This sounds very lucrative, as the cost of production will decrease to a great extent, and it will also boost the economy of our country.

2016 Mitsubishi Montero Sport

This beast is expected to step on the land of Cebu in the tenure of March of this year, showcasing its head turning characteristics. This SUV could have a 2.4-litre turbo diesel engine with a impressive horsepower of 181 and a torque of 430 Nm. Furthermore, its gearbox is based on an 8-speed automatic transmission. It is stimulating to note that this muscle man is interchangeably also referred as Pajero Sport as per the country specification. Let’s see when we can have the opportunity to catch its view in the Philippines, and also giving an edge to the rivals in the competition.

Suzuki Ciaz

This ravishing beauty certainly doesn't require any introduction, as it has already made itself an eyecandy for the car fanatics much before its release in the Philippines. It is a package of beauty with brains; well seriously with brains, we refer to its fascinating features wrapped in one place. It’s stylish, and generous when it comes to utility and boot space, very responsive, driver-oriented, and fuel efficient. It might have the provision of two engines, one being the Petrol version and the other one being the Diesel engine. The expected specifications incorporate a 1.2-litre gasoline engine with the power of 91.73 hp and a torque of 118 Nm. The prospective buyers who are looking forward to seek a relatively easy on pocket and potential family car, should definitely feel that they have struck the best buy! It was witnessed last at the Batangas, and now we wish that it makes an appearance in our country soon.

Nissan Navara

This superstar deserves all the applause a celebrity could gather as it has already the success feather in the Philippines Autoworld cap. It has not only set a benchmark for its siblings and the competitors but has also revealed about the much-needed attributes that need to be inculcated in any pickup truck. This entire gamut of praise holds on the basis of its selection for the International Pickup Award 2016. Earlier it had been loaded with a 2.3-litre dCi engine, including a tough chassis implantation. It is noteworthy to mention that a new competitor came into the picture, keeping this stud as an ideal, which was the Mercedes-Benz Pick Up X-Class model. Yes! You heard it right, and we aren't playing with words. This jazzy Mercedes hunk is perceived to have replicated the ideal version of Nissan Navara to a great extent. Its estimated capacity is to contain a 2.5-litre engine with a power of 190 PS with a torque of 450 Nm. Also, a 6-cylinder engine will produce the power of 255 PS with a peak torque of 550 Nm. This seems to be a tough battle in the future, however alluring at the same time.

In the end, we wish this docket will enlighten the Philippines native to make a decision for buying a car, or enrich their knowledge in general. Also, we would be pleased to welcome these alluring models with open arms, and we wish that they reach the pinnacle of success with well-deserved consumer base and sales volume.
