13th PEVS: GAC Motor PH rolls out all-new Aion V, Hyptec HT
Duo are all-electric SUV models with loads of features
MANILA: GAC (Guangzhou Automobile Group Corporation) Motor Philippines has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) lineup by launching the all-new Aion V and Hyptec HT for the Philippine market.

GAC Aion V
With regard to powertrains, the GAC Aion V uses a single permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) that’s capable of producing up to 221 horsepower (hp) and 240 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque for the top-spec Premium trim. The model’s top-of-the-line trim also has a 75.26 kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery and a range of 603 kilometers (km), according to the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).

Likewise quick is its direct current (DC) fast charging capability, which can increase its battery state-of-charge from 30-80 percent in just 20 minutes.
Like most EV models in the market right now, the Aion V comes with regenerative braking, as well as a drive mode selector (comfort, sport, and power saver).

GAC Hyptec HT
For the GAC Hyptec HT mid-size SUV, its powertrain is a PMSM that can dish out 335 hp and 280 Nm of torque. Power is sent to its rear wheels.

Moreover, the model’s fast charging DC port is capable of increasing its battery levels from 10-70 percent in just 15 minutes. It also has comfort, sport, and power saver drive modes, as well as regenerative braking.
