2019 Foton Traveller XL with 19 seats is in the Philippines

MANILA: How big can an MPV get? The segment comprises of vehicles having at least 7 seats and even ones that can accommodate around 16 around. However, Foton has gone bonkers with its newest MPV in the Philippines. How? Well, the 2019 Foton Traveller XL can fit in 19 people comfortably.

Surprised? We were too, but Foton has been kicking its game up lately and this offering is just an example of what they can do. Talking of the size of this MPV, it stands 5,990 mm long, 1,920 mm wide, and 2,320 high. Enough space to accommodate 19 people in a pattern of 3+3+3+3+3+4 is all due to the wheelbase of 3,720 mm.

The 2019 Foton Traveller XL gets is power from a 2.8-litre Cummins ISF motor that is Euro 4 compliant. This mill is capable of generating 150 PS of maximum power and a peak torque of 325 Nm. The power producing is then sent to the wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.

Weight of the 2019 Foton Traveller XL is 4,035-kg fully loaded (gross vehicle weight) and the MPV rides on 215/75 R 16 wheels.
